  • good work here

  • guys stop bitching the guy's explaining in detail and he gives useful info so shut up and learn!!!

  • thanks fot what you did but i know you could do better

  • Really liked this video!!! As a total and complete beginner, I appreciated the information BEFORE you just randomly started drawing things. I subscribed to your channel and can't wait to see more! Cheers!

  • Photoshop does vector and has basically many of the same tools. It doesn't pixelate until you rasterize. Can't believe you talked til half way in before doing anything...

  • @blkguyjusttryn You're kidding right? Photoshop has VERY limited vector tools. The most advanced vector aspects of Photoshop are fonts. Now, if you said Fireworks, then yep, you'd be correct. Fireworks is a nice blend of the vector aspects of Illustrator and the raster aspects of Photoshop. It makes things the format it makes sense for it to be. Photoshop is rarely used for vector work beyond shapes and fonts.

  • so your like 12 years old??

  • It's not Techsupportgonebad, it's Adobeillustratorgonebad :-)

  • 3 minutes before you touch the mouse...what a dork. You sound like a little kid on his first design job.

  • that is sa terrible logo

  • It's very funny to see how many ppl don't know anything about graphic design. Illustrator or Corel Draw are always been used for vector art. Doing Logos in raster program, you all just show how little you know, and you are just example of how schools failed on you. TechSupportGoneBad - good tut. Keep it up m8 ;)

  • @zsimic84 Old comment, but meh lol, sorry to bring you back!

You're spot on. It's quite sad seeing people think they're masters at graphic design just because they can use Photoshop or have it installed on their system. There's a reason the Creative Suite is made up of several different tools, many of which can do the same things, but in different ways. If you're doing print/graphic design then your 3 best friends are Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Combine the strong points of each!

  • You can make logos with any art tool. A more thorough method is to start with traditional pencil and paper and just sketch out things/concepts/objects of relevance. Once you have an idea or overall design laid out, scan it into your computer and use whichever tool is desired. Even if you use Photoshop, you can still convert to vector from a rasterized piece of art using Flash or bringing it into AI. I like the design this video had though. It would be great for a mobile app design!

  • @avbn5000

gosh. man go study some graphic design school. ofcourse that what you mention is just one of the step in making logos.

  • If you don't rasterize in photoshop you can still make it any size without pixels.

  • McLovin?

  • you say too much crap.

  • so irratating

  • Is this Mc Lovin?

  • thank you very useful for totally beginners:)

  • i am a total beginner, but a really found that video very helpful ,so thank you for it:)

  • Whats with all the flak the guy is getting?? He just showing a simple way to make a logo. That's all. I thought it was pretty clever.

  • fuck you

  • i liked it

  • Vector graphics is based on mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics. It can be easily scaled up or down with no loss of quality.

Illustrator however, can be used to make not only logos but posters/leaflets/brochures/vector images and many other things. On the other hand, Photoshop is mainly used to manipulate photographic images taken from a camera. These are the two differences. One software is good at doing what it does best than the other!!

  • it's a good tutorial no doubt, but the result isnt good for a 7:29 tutorial... u kinda talk 2 much

  • fail video.

  • you talk too much, i just want to know how to use the tools!

  • True, logo's are a part of vector art, but vectors are used everywhere.

I for one make vectors in Illustrator and use them in inDesign to create posters or booklets without losing quality.

So, while the tutorial is good, you're giving the wrong idea of illustrator.

  • Wannabe mac.

  • You cannot say that 'Illustrator is made to make logos', you need to learn the program and logistics of vectors etc. before telling people absolute rubbish.

  • True. Illustrator is designed to make vectors for all kinds of purposes.

  • woah this was surprisingly underwhelming. I cant believe you said that "Adobe Illustrator is primarily to make logos", vector art is a HUGE part of AI.

And seriously, how can you call that a good design? Its 2 lines of text with different colors, and 3 shapes made with the pen tool. You can easily have done this with Ps.

  • A good design is not the longer you work on it the better it becomes. When the design is finished, it's finished. Sure, you can work for weeks on it, but you'd overkill the design if you start adding too many things to it.

In addition, I don't find that design to be too bad. It's simple, fresh and it tells you what it has to tell, which is the purpose of a logo. Presenting a company or a person through your logo.

The orange could've used some more work, yes, but the general idea is there.

  • @iplay360 vector art is mostly logos and icons.

  • a lot of the ideas he touched on are simple but they're important in design and def worth noting. Clearly it's just to demonstrate some basic concepts and not to show you illustrator in its full capacity. so quit bashing on someone who posts a video to try to help out some fellow designers. What do you gain by this worthless comment? If you're beyond this material then move on to the next video

  • You jailbroke your ipod touch on 3.1.2 with Blackra1n

  • Can you Use Adobe photoshop?

  • Thank dude! I like it because its basic, simple and great!

  • yerr all im saying is that in the video you make logo design out to be the main thing its used for. Yer when i use illustrator i sometimes do logos. But i do other things like icons, fonts, characters.. The main use is vector art

  • errr illustrator aint for makign logos :L it can be used for making logos but its for vectors

  • this is a Paint Design

  • First Off All You dont know how to use it and this tutorial is very basic..

  • why not come back with a better tutorial then if your such an expert, it's his first give him a break dude!

  • one word "PHOTOSHOP" thank for lisening to me ;)

  • icons need to be all different sizes and when you scale up/down a creation in photoshop, the quality of it decreases

  • I don't mean to be picky, but I'd like to say that it's not made primerily for logo design, it is used widely for logo design but for alot more aswell, it's always good to say the right thing! But gd tut, cnt wait for future AI tutorials.

  • @ZookanProductions You mean vector drawing?

  • Yes :) I use it for cartoons and making objects in vector form.

  • bro nice tutorial and intro

  • @VvCompHelpXPvV LOL!!!

  • Have you dropped your balls or something?

Your voice has dropped big time since your old tutorials.

  • @TechSupportGoneBad

I think that you could've made the triangle for the "play button" element of the logo more like an exact logo. It's very distracting when you see the triangle's angles are not exact.

  • Thanks!

  • very nice, indeed

  • but what if u wanna take em broke every time?!?!?!?!?

  • Awsome tutorial like always, and your not dead!

  • HI Tech, could you do a tutorial about how ya did your intro, very cooooooooooooooooool. thanx for this tut
