Beethoven's Symphony #7, mvt II also figured prominently in a 1970's science fiction flick called ZARDOZ - that's the one with Sean Connery running around in a loincloth. I wonder what other movies have used this music.

This is terrible - a crime.

This is not from the soundtrack - the beginning tones are sloppy, much better in the movie. However, the film's version is also a disaster - way way to fast.

In this video the tempo is correct, nothing else is, in the movie the phrasing is good, but the tempo (too fast) destroys Beethoven's careful structure.

Gald they used it, but... if someone really wants to hear this done right, try Bruno Walter's recording from the 1950s....
