once former nba player can't find a roster spot, they head across the pond to steal more money from a basketball franchise. who cares?! however, since high school players allegedly stop becoming "overnight sensations," stern has been trying his best(cough, worse) to market euro trash players form just about anywhere, for any team.
The ban for American players in Europe was ages ago, most teams have like 8 Americans. Here in Belguim you must have 4 Belgians out of 12, for the rest of your players your free to chose wich country there from. Its the same in the rest of Europe now.
oh and I'll keep making you in wutever basketball game i play, I've been 2k guy since 2k5, but i'm tellin you 2k9 is the worst game they've made in a while and both EA and 2k better step it up for 2010 and show us what nex gen basketball is supposed to be.. thanx guys. and go easy on these vidoes i see some real hate for no reason. like you talkin down bout a player, and you could do better? come on, a lil respect. thanx peace.
Anyways you no what, Murray is having fun playing basketball still. yeah he could have been playing in the NBA these las few years but would he really have been playing? a player like that has to be used, he's a scorer, if your not gonna give him time and make him an option on the floor than putting him out there is useless for him and the team. anyways he's been playin in the IBL for the LA Lightning and led them this year to the championship so congrats Murray keep showin the mistake theymade
Murray could still play in the NBA, but even a struggling team would rather play a young avergae player than bring on a veteran like Murray and let him play. If a team now or in the last years since he last played would give him 20 minutes a game and run some plays for him, make him a top 3 option when on the floor. Murray would be a great asset. I hated how he was just pushed down the bench his last years given no time to play & no plays.
Lamond is my favorite player. aside from that. It's a shame what happened to Lamond's career, only in a few seasons was he really given the oppurtunity to play consistantly and guess what, he produced. It's such a shame when bad coaching and or mangement dwinddle's a players career. Murray could still play in the NBA right now, he's only 36 and has been taken it easy scoring at will leading LA Lightning to the 2009 IBL chamionship. congrats Murray. good stuff.
I think Euro don't want any of their teams just signing a bunch of guys from the US and that is exactly what would happen if they didn't limit the amount of US players you can have on 1 team
I watched Lamond as a Clipper and the best part was when got traded. He shoot from outside when he was hot or cold and was the worst starter in the NBA.
No, Look at toronto, they have 3-4 players overseas, I think it would be good for the NBA to have more than 2. For Europe it should be 2, because If Dwyane Wade, Carmelo, and LeBron decide to... should they sign to all three?
the reason why the euroleague is doing this I think is because if they allowed more amercian players to play in the league it would be full of amercian basketball players who didn't make it into the nba but still are a lot better than the best players europe has to offer... the 2 american players mostly are the best on the team and without the restriction european players wouldn't get any playing time
What you have to say makes a lot of sense. Europeans aren't necessarily bad at basketball, but they probably aren't near the level the NBA is at. So once again, I agree with you and I see where you're coming from. Good Point. :)
But I think Lamond is upset because retired NBA players who are too old to play in the NBA anymore cant go to Europe because the teams would rather sign two young players who have potential than two 37 year olds who can still play but are mostly all used up. If there was no cap the old players would still have a place at the end of the bench for some European team.
The thing is, the best Europeans come to the NBA, that's why there should be no limit. Even if the Euros limit the number of Americans, the best European players are actually in America, so the NBA will always be the better league. The NBA doesn't limit the amount of foreingers and will accept anyone according to their ability and not their citizenship. That's why it's the best league in the world. The Euroleague policy just limits the competitiveness of their league by doing that.
i think they should keep it as it is cuz if they let more than 2 americans per team in europe then lots of NBA players will go over there for the money and north american basketball will fall apart
naw we shouldn't put a limit on intl. players and we won't. this is what makes America so cool, we don't sweat little silly stuff like other countries do.
I agrre with Murray if europeans have no limt to come over here than there shouldnt be a limit for americans. but y would u want to play over seas any ways?

You should also think about that USA is a country and Europe is a continent? Your talking like there only is America and the rest of the world.
