  • Jan.1970...

  • if there were no men but only women in the world, would there be war still, or would it stop?

  • he was misunderstood because he operated on a higher consciousness than most people could comprehend and that was what made him fantastically beautiful. i love you john winston ono lennon

  • @jadalovegpac so true

  • John is very enlightened here!!! :) great interview!>

Peace is too simple to be understood.

  • i love people like him black brown or white people like him is the reason why im free today !

  • Every breath they took/take was of truth, love and peace. ITS OBVIOUS! And yoko deserves much more respect --the simple mind should open their minds and see that she was only a woman with great love for him as he was a man with great love for her and when this is genuenly achieved those two people have even more motivations to follow their dreams and come into alignment with their self. So thats what happend and it was/is GREAT~ Its simple truth and living ones authentic self thats all folks!

  • the vietnam war was brutal.

  • All John ever promoted was peace and love- he was a good person regardless of his personal bad habits. In fact he was one of the few famous people ever to really work hard for peace- people today don't. John also wrote about reality of life- things like how bad drugs were ("Cold Turkey" song), and wasn't afraid to tell poeple about how corupt politicians were. he was one of a kind- the world needs him to teach peace- so spread his musical messages

  • you guys, the cancer part is a metaphor.

  • @andantinowithaswager The cancer part, metaphor or not.. The industry doesn't care about CURING your cancer, they'll only care for TREATING your cancer.. Why do you think the U.S. has a patent for the cure of AIDS? It's all utter crap to me: walking over bodies for some paper cash.. Bloody-ass wankers billionaires..

  • @ZehGfather

Sorry, but the whole "they don't care about curing your cancer" nonsense is pure bullshit. I am sure a bunch of paranoid nutbar assholes were saying the same thing about smallpox and polio too. A patent for a cure for AIDS? Yeah, sure, AIDS has actually been cured, and the cure patented. I hate to break it to you, moron, but an issuance of a patent for a certain "treatment" doesn't mean a cure has been invented, There are patents for perpetual motion machines too.

  • @masanf Sorry, you missed the whole point. The cure is patented, so IF there was something like a cure for HIV/AIDS, then you would be too poor and/or stupid to get one. Obviously.

  • @masanf So you didnt understand what he is saying.

  • The prevention is better than the cure.

AIDS is prevented so we have time to cure it.

If you run straight for the cure part, you'll have people getting sick without any hope.

    JOHN IS RIGHT.

    CAN'T YOU SEE IT?

IT'S EASY IF EVERYBODY WANT IT.

    NOT ONE OR TWO.

  • What hapened to Kyoko?

  • @GregDrayGregDray she stayed in Japan with her Dad- refused to go with Yoko. see Wikipedia about Yoko Ono for facts

  • The politicians wouldn't listen to John Lennon talk about peace. They completely ignore the THOUSANDS marching right in front of their faces.

  • How I wish we had John to talk about peace like this now---though of course we have this great film clip

  • I guess the point is : If you can prevent " Cancer". you don t need to cure it!

  • Rygtehøkere? haha

  • no sunrise. it's not abbey road time its about 4/6 months later, december 69 i think. also notice the way he takes about people making millionaires in the PAST tense. this is because Lennon had already left the beatles at this point but the world didn't know it yet. this was because some deal was going through that needed perspective share holders to think Lennon and McCartney were a songwriting partnership. listen to the way he brushes off questions about future plans.

  • Good man that Lennon................he got the stinking clap riddled hippie wankers out of Wales....

  • man his hair is so long---this is ABBEY RD time..

  • Thank you for putting this up and getting his message out.

  • This interview is classic

  • Kyoko is sitting next to John, rsting against him - she must have liked him a little. Yoko is a hundred miles away.

  • I love John and Yoko, because John and Yoko love peace!

  • The honest fact was that they loved promoting themselves. The whole peace thing was a fad for them, right before bagism, primal scream therapy, taro cards, alien communication, the list goes on. They were both very heavy into drugs since 67 right until John's murder. Yoko cared about fame and John just didn't want to be alone. Very sad story actually. He is still my favorite artist of all time but make no mistake, he was highly flawed. Probably that is what made him great.

  • Why do you think it was a fad for them? Perhaps it was important to them, but eventually they had to move on.

  • They were constantly looking for meaning in their lives (and recognition). The fact that they jumped from one thing to another on an almost monthly pace shows a lack of dedication to any particular project. They were like two little kids who get a new toy and get bored with it in a few days, then look for a new toy.

  • yeah man. plus they had money, and they know they had money so why not use it. shit, i want the world to love one another and wake up and see the potential...but i'd also fly all over the place and try new things and jump from waterfalls...i'd also probably promote it and want others to try it. and when people realize there really is nothing holding us back othere than this, ideological barrier that we really have no need for, then we can all truly be happy.

  • what you said the the definition of a fad.

  • it doesn't matter why they did it. all that truly matters is that they did. they promoted peace and love because they knew they heavily influenced an entire generation watching them on television and listening to them on the radio every day. today rappers choose to "promote themselves" by actually taking pride in their drugs.

lennon didn't ever mention his drug taking; he promoted something that was meaningful to the world - peace.

  • Lennon said that he wanted to prevent cancer not cure it yet he was himself very sick. Honestly and without any intention of being disrespectful, he was a heavy drug addict. Drug addicts see the world through a rosy lens and don´t see reality as it is.

  • I'm not exactly sure if you're mentioning cancer as a metaphor for violence, but if not, Lennon was not ever trying to prevent cancer. he was never diagnosed with cancer...

  • well apart of what you say is true and another apart isnt if lennon didnt see reality as it is how could he have been a political activist how could he have known that if the people in this world wanted peace the could get it together why was he the only one who ever realized this

  • He was not the only one to see that this world needs peace, Martin Luther King, Jr saw it more logically: He had to face the evil forces and suffer himself, Lennon was just preaching through his distorted mental world. Lennon was a heavy drug addict and a pop star: Usually they are naive. MLKing knew that conquering evil would take more than a beautiful song, but life itself.

  • well if you look at the facts lennon stopped using drugs lennon also new that songs wherent gonna get him everywhere thats why stopped righting songs and started writing speachs lennon figured the best way to get into peoples heart was to sing live be all about love ...love is in each and every1 of one us and if we shared that love with eachother imagine where we could be look up i met the walrus on youtube and listen to what he says and tell me he was distorted mental world hes realistic

  • You are high!

  • no im actually not im actually right and you no it thx

  • I´ve always thought that, he did the right thing for the wrong reasons. He needed first to straighten his life, to cure his cancer, his drug addiction then start trying to cure the world of it´s horrible ills. Like you I consider Lennon one of the greatest artists along with all the Beatles.

  • I agree, for all his talk about peace he should have created peace with his family and friends first.

  • I think you described them and the situation accurately.

  • danskere er nede på jorden dejligt folk. muslimer er bare mere mentale sygge behøver de sju ikke at være . take et easy boy boy haha ..:P

  • Aww I love John. =]

    thx for puttin' this up.

Peace, love, && rock n' roll.

  • Sejt (Cool) Jeg er fra danmark og synes dette er sejt (I am from Denmark and think this is cool)
