And yoko deserves much more respect --the simple mind should open their minds and see that she was only a woman with great love for him as he was a man with great love for her and when this is genuenly achieved those two people have even more motivations to follow their dreams and come into alignment with their self. I´ve always thought that, he did the right thing for the wrong reasons. He needed first to straighten his life, to cure his cancer, his drug addiction then start trying to cure the world of it´s horrible ills. Like you I consider Lennon one of the greatest artists along with all the Beatles.
