  • I wish it was a smooth transition between the small silver til and the body rather than that abrupt cut off. I'd fear (having never held the pen) that I would find that part uncomfortable. I've had trouble with my Surefire 4 pen using that Schmidt 9000 writing on prescription pads. Almost makes it useless. :-( Guess I can put a Fisher space pen refill in it.

  • Id rather but a pack of pilot g2 pens and save the 93 dollars.

  • whats next a tactical earser

  • its not jus a pen. its a piece of art.

  • can i have your benchmade pen

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!

It's a fucking pen. You press the end???? 99% of 20cent pens work like that, jesus, there are some geeks out there.

    And it's AL-U-MIN-I-UM.

  • @qfina but you can brake glass with this one..

  • i have tried both on my riot control missions lately. i like the s&w or schrade more as you can put your thumb on the cap's flat side for moe strength when hitting the target body. but this one is neater in craftmanship. schrade is my daily carry. good vid. tks.

  • I've got this pen, bought it from my local gun shop.....$65

  • Fantastic video. If you're going to stab something with the pen, and you're holding it with your thumb on the end, couldn't this make the button become depressed? Isn't this problematic if the tip keeps going in and out?

Do you think the tip could break if you stab something with the tip out?

  • I just put some blue Permatex threadlocker on it, which is medium strength, on both ends. So I would guess that it should be fine now.:-) BTW, it was the top collar that was loose; didn't know it screwed in.

  • I used my pen only a little bit since I got it and now I find that when I click it to use it the pen barely comes out of the frame, only showing just a tiny little bit. What a drag. I've had many, many $1 and $2 pens that NEVER had such a problem, and now it looks like I have to package this crap thing up and send it in for repairs. What a joke!

  • Mine does that sometimes. Make sure the top and bottom are screwed in all the way. The top has a small collar around the button that is hard to hold onto, but needs to be screwed into the housing as far as you can get it. I've thought about trying some thread lock on mine since that happens every so often.

  • I'll be darn, you're right!! THANKS!!!!!!!!!:-)

  • @guyNbluejeans EasyFlow 2,000 in my opinion sucks!

Go to office depot and get a Parker .7 GEL medium black refill and your have better success!

  • @DelSolSea Thank you, sir! I'll take your advice!!:-)

  • I got this pen the other day (in blue) and it's very well put together. I have pretty large hands and so its girth isn't a problem for me. It's a bit slippery and heavy, but I can manage. (I only wish that my penmanship was on par with the quality of this pen, but it's not; not even close.)

My pen came with a cartridge that says "Private Reserve Ink, easyFLOW 9000 m." Other cartridges I've seen have different words, so I hope this cartridge isn't inferior, as I did buy it from an ebay site.

  • I will say the SureFire Pen original is a bit on the heavy side as I would expect version 2. I also find the girth of the pen on the large side. Won't fit inside a folded leather pen holding strap found in most day planners. You have to hang it by the clip. The clip does well enough job but the pen is then a bit floppy vrs having been able to stow the body of the pen in the folded leather pen strap.

  • All great points. I would say pens of this style, "tactical", all tend to be much larger than your normal pen. It would be nice to see something made this robust and still fit in the things you've mentioned. You might check out the new offerings from benchmade, but they have some smaller pens out now.

  • Great video, I have the original SureFire pen and I'm pleased with it but tired of rotating the body. I didn't much find the easy flow so easy flow with several different refills. I suggest Parker® Gel-Ink Refills, Medium Point, 0.7 mm, Black, Pack Of 2. Parker lays down dark and easy flowing ink!

  • @DelSolSea I'll got out and get a pack, as the thing doesn't even write even though I've used it very little. So much for that "EasyFlow 2,000" that it came with. Pretty crappy to shell out that much dough and then go to actually use it for a bit only to have it not lay the ink down. Oh well, easy enough to fix. Off to walmart I go!

  • Very nice review, thanks!

  • Nice video, I'm gonna buy one. I think the end is actually Stainless, as is the click top, nickel plated. (02:37). I also prefer this to the Benchmade. The Benchmade also is simply too weaponized looking.

  • Good review - thanks to your indept reviews I just wait to see what you have to say before I consider buying things LOL

  • nice review, and your videos look very professional.

    5/5

    A+

  • thanks man, i love clicky pens.

  • nice i wanna get one :P
