Also, at Uni my friend and I developed a boardgame involving warfare linked to the economies..The target was to destroy the opponant's economic base. we also used to play "Diplomacy". My grandfather was, I think, John Featherstone who was adoctor in Melbourne Australia inthe late 19th early 20th C.
Its strange. This is the first time I have heard of D F. My name is Donald Gordon Featherstone, I am ascientist and my hobby is military history. I did 13 years in the reserve mostly in the armoured corps. Strange eh?
I tried a text comment. He's the same age, etc as my wife's Uncle Frank and I'd wish he'd come to the States one more time. I think he and Frank would get on well. Two old chaps who know far too much together. God love him and all the vets from that time....
Always an inspiration. I'd like for him to come back over to the States for one more go, he's the same age as my wife's Uncle Frank and I'd love to hear them go taling about railroads and WW2 from each's view and all. God bless him and all the vets from then.
Love this, I have always admired his knowledge, and his true love of wargaming. He is the Real deal as we say across the pond.

It's great to have the opportunity to see this! He's one of the founding fathers of wargaming.

War Games was the book that got me started in the hobby. I'm glad that it's Mr. Featherstone's favorite!
