Great work, I've enjoyed watching your progress. I've had good luck with PE plastic and liquid nitrous oxide. It isn't as hard to get as you think. By using a liquid you can get a much higher amount of oxidizer into the chamber at once.
We are looking at N2O for the future, but I have a virtually unlimited supply of free GOX at work so we have been trying to make that work! Figure with a high enough pressure and fast enough bleed rate we should be able to match the oxidizing capabilities of nitrous.

My on-board tank holds approximately 2lbs. I have a 10lbs storage tank, so I can do 3 tests reliably before having to refill the supply bottle.
