  • what distance do the bullets begin to drop?

  • I have a 22 mag and a 17 hmr I personally have shot Both guns with and without wind the 22 mag and 17 are comparable in the wind and as for price in rounds a box of 22 mag shells are 14 bucks here and 17 hmr are 17 to 20 bucks I have shot coyotes out to 400 yards with both guns but will only shoot head shots at that distance I have an old 22 lr with a 5-15 power scope on it that I have shot coyotes with out to 200 so if anyone doubts the power and killing capability don't there more then enoug

  • @123johnog Commas and periods don't cost anything, you know.

  • is that a lefty or is the camera mirrord?

  • @LRHolderbaum yep. im a lefty. i have 2 left hand bolt action rifles.

  • @joeblo86 hey what model savage is that never new they made a 22 lefty also 22 mag is good on wallbies too thought head shots and centre mass which i would espect with the coyotes too

  • @monkey50cal yep. it is a left hand 93

  • @LRHolderbaum it is a lefty.

  • @mumbleye take a closer look....its your mom's nutsack wig. Take care DB.

  • i poped a fox last weekend at 100 yards with my savage 64f 22lr semi I shot him between the eyes and lights out. oh and i was using aguila supermaxim flantnose bullet thats 30 grains and go 1700fps

  • @trigun890 nice shooting. i havent got any small game kills with mine, but i will soon. The coyote season is fast approaching following deer hunting. Thanks for the comment and take care.

  • My model 93 BRJ in 22WRM is sighted in 3 inches high @ 100 yds with 40gr h/p's & its right on the money @ 160 yds, @ 200 yds (a mere 40 yds farther) that 40 gr bullet now hits the target 12 inches below the cross hairs. I have a self imposed 150/160 yd limit for shots taken @ small game. @ 300 yds the bullet drop is 8 foot or more below the cross hair's (sighted in 3 inches hi @ 100yds). How I read about guys hitting wood chucks "all day long" with the 22LR & 22WRM and @ 400 yds is beyond me.

  • @1shot2kilu i have my savage sighted in at 100 yards. i have shot it enough to know what it is doing all the way out to 300 yards. 400 is a risk for me, although i would love to try it with the right ammo. I am sure it is capable shot, but a tricky one. it would be like shooting half mile with my 7.62. it is possible, but only with the right conditions will grouping occur. take care, and thanks for the comment.

  • What is a good effective range on coyote with the .22 mag?

I can get a .22 Mag in CZ brand gun. Expensive though

  • @79Testo 150 yards for the average shooter. i personally can go out to 300 yards with my .22 mag. It takes a lot of shooting and trigger control to be effective at that range. CZ is over-rated in my opinion. thanks for the comment. Optics are the most important tool.

  • @79Testo what you should look into for a good priced .22 mag should be a Savage model 93 i personally have a model 93 fv and its a pretty sweet gun and he is right cz is over-rated for sure

  • @ThexMeRcH

Not a gun pro. But CZ makes a .22 mag in semi auto, which I like. It is the only one they have around here at the gun shop.

  • @79Testo well if its in your price range than go for it if it feel like a comfortable gun to shoot

  • @ThexMeRcH thanks for backing me up. nice to see competent people on the tube. thanks for the comment.

  • @79Testo i wouldnt use a 22lr on a coyote at 150yrd cause for a coyote i would use something bigger like a 30-30

  • @hunting2748 150 yards is approaching max distance for average to descent shooters with a 30-30. the ideal coyote gun is the .223 in my opinion, that is for new to average shooters. it makes a lot more noise than the .22 mag, which i dont like. that is why i chose to become proficient enough with my .22 mag to be able to engage targets at 200 meters+ Thanks for the comment

  • WOOOOOT LEFTYY SHOOTERZ!!

  • @dadbran damn straight! the best shooters are going to be lefty. thanks for the comment and take care.

  • i have a henry 22 magnum its a sweet little round. im much more fond of it than the 17 hmr.

  • @adamclark94 very nice rifle. i am also on your side against the 17 HMR. too much $ to shoot. also if there is more than say 7-9 mile per hour wind, 17 HMR=F%$@ED. shoot straight and be safe. LIVE FREE OR DIE TRYN

  • nice gun but very bad vidoe try to do some description in the video tell about the gun characteristics

  • @gettindoam Yea i have a crappy camera, but i dont care, just having fun. .22 Magnum from Savage. Left handed bolt action. it has accu trigger, variable zoom scope, and a bi-pod. I painted it myself with a digital pattern. what else do you want to know?

  • @gettindoam NO TROLLS!
