  • Thanks for this.. Was out this weekend near Healy Pass, and the surface hoar from the hot week was quite epic. 2 Inch inc crystals littering the landscape.. :O

  • those facets are pretty shallow in the rockies. They're 120 cm down in the Northern Selkirks, Esplanade Range. Storm snow is definitely getting stiffer. Jan 10-13 we getting easy Rutschblock results on all aspects down 65 on a windcrust, and moderates on the facets down 120-130 cm.

    HS actually went down 35 cm during the week to 170 cm from all of the settling.
