@justtakeiteasy I'm not standing up for colonisation, I agree it's spawned many cultural conflicts that exist today (e.g. India/Pakistan), Mountbatten did his best to fix that.
But you're just nasty and bigoted. You're holding SashaWolf responsible for what his forefathers may have done. As you say British Imperialism is the source of much of the problem, so accept that it's the source of problem with Aborigines. If you're ethnically English, your forefathers killed Australian Aborigines too.
@justtakeiteasy And it's a damn shame what has happened to the Aborigines. Both the British and Australian governments are guilty in that regard, not just Australians, as you so glibly remark. And "some" Australians are racist, not all, not most. Don't make sweeping generalisations, just as "some" British people are racist, BNP loving, not all
The Aus Govt has apologised to Aborigines and is working to end the welfare gap for Aborigines (caused by Brit colonisation) with health, education, etc
@justtakeiteasy You can't hold a man responsible for what his forefathers did. If that were the case then (I'm assuming from your profile that you're British), you'd be just as culpable as SashaWolf2009. Don't forget that Australia didn't federate until 1901, by which time estimated over 100 000 aborgines had been killed, under British rule and sometimes with the help of the British Govt. But as I say, both the British and Aus Govts are culpable in that respect.
Takeiteasy your profile says your from London, now this is indeed most rich, Almost funny. Most of the killing of aboringals done by people from Europe yes your part of town too. I like to also add my forefather did not come out to Australia till 1962, By that time our own Apartheid was at the end. Again you know nothing of hiostory or of the man, Can only suspect you taken no time to brush up on this at all? So I killed no one and you takeiteasy should live up to your own name!
Thankyou for this I am Australian. I enjoyed the images. It was a shame that a man who had done so much died the way he had. I recal General Sherman saying this
A man only dies once, A coward 1000 times. He was man well ahead of his time and like many from that era missed. And those who killed him I ask now what did a 5 year old girl have to do with your grand ideals? And to those who dare call him a monster, get your facts right folks!
Supposedly they both had affairs, but I have never heard anything about him molesting children. Somehow I find it hard to believe someone who cared about his own image so much; would have jeopardized his career in something so foul. He had many enemies in Fleet Street as well as the Admiralty, Im sure they would not have hesitated publishing those rumors if there was any semblance of truth about it.
its sad that he was killed that he was killed that way including other people.....as the viceroy of india he did supported nehru and ghandhi completely and made criminal unjustice in partioning areas...specially the way panjab was separated results in killing of thousands of innocents....it is been rumored that to please nehru enough so he could become the governer general of india after partition he tolerates his wife's relationship with nehru..i heard that some love letters are published .
Isnt it true the Countess ; Edwina was having an affair with India's first prime mister ; Nehru ? -- and her Husband Lord Mountbatten knew it all along !!
Nehru was a British in his behaviour and attitude. He would kiss Edwina and pat her. The orthodox and unsophesticated indians thought it was an affair.
Mountbatten was accused of molesting young boys both in Ireland and abroad. It was alleged the British security forces new this and were deeply embarrassed; stepping back from there role in protecting the Lord. It is most unfortunate innocent victims were killed in the blast.
Edna knew about his homosexuality, read about her relationship with Nahru, it is questionable if she knew her husband molested children.
Please do your research before you promote Louis on youtube.
Just a sidecomment, it is somewhat hard for you to convince people about what you're saying when Louis' wife's name is Edwina and not "Edna" and the name of India's former PM was spelled as Nehru and not "Nahru". It is hard to believe allegations when the name of the people involved are misspelled.
