Svetlana is, with no doubt, a very talented dancer.

However she's not a classical ballet dancer, she's showing off her talents, extensions, nice arches... etc. but not her classical technique. Regarding her technical skills, she's not at all a special dancer :)

@fantastikh I know that she's a famous and very charming dancer with loads of fans all over the world. I know a lot of her fans are going to hate me ok, but wake up guys and look at that video again focusing on her technique, taking out and ignoring ALL her talents, she is worse than an ORDINARY dancer. Look at Elizabeth Platel in Grand Pas Classique, THAT is really what we called "classical ballet", that people loved for over 300 years. :D hope that you would understand

Is it bad to say I can't enjoy her dancing because she's so skinny? She turns to the side and you can't see her. I like seeing a girl dance, not a core with little twigs as limbs so small you can barely see them. you know? :/

@10shutterbug. She is not particularly skinny - not back then and not now. You could easily find some skinny ones to complain about, but Zakharova wouldn't be among them.

I can understand you are not a fan. You are entitled to your opinion. But Zakharova is the best and there is no one like her before and currently. She is the goddess of ballet.

@gilmilet and i see that you are going over the top. I don't know to who you were replying to but Svetlana Zakharova while being a very good dancer (and she's one of my favourites too) is not the goddess of ballet. There is no goddess of ballet for one, as everyone has things they are good at. Again, you cannot say she is the best either as there are many ballerinas who are marvellous. And if you are going to put someone as one of the best in ballet history it would be Lopatkina. (one of them.)

Do not like her interpretation of this variation. Great extensions do not make a great ballerina....to each their own.
