  • Sir, you just taught me my first two blues licks. Thank you. :)

  • The licks sound great, but how do you stop the E & A strings ringing between strums during the intro section - when I do it, it sounds awful compared with yours!

  • very good video

  • view me

  • Thanks for the lesson.

  • Thank you so much^^

  • Good stuff! Nicely presented and most of all - CLEAR and done slowly with excellent photography. KUDOS!

  • wow never seen a video with zero dislikes. Nice job!

  • Nice lesson. I can see the first lick using the E minor pentatonic, but what about that second one?

  • i would kill everyone on the world for that guitar o.O, except for my dog...

  • big thanks ;)

  • Very nice Robert. Tasty licks but nothing too difficult. I appreciate everything you share.

  • if u learn to alternate pick this as a beginner it will be really helpful for a boost start

  • Good finger workout, I can only finger pick the faster five notes though that speed.

  • greaaat!!!!

  • So Robert, does your DVD on the 24 12 bar blues also provide the tab to follow as this video does for each of the lick lessons you teach on the DVD? Thanks and love your stuff.

  • @ArtDonna84 Yes, but it's not on the screen. You get PDFs and Guitar Pro 6 files with all the notation and TAB. You also get the tab as well as video instruction on how to play the rhythm guitar.

  • What brand / model is the guitar used on this video? Thanks!

  • @davilaqc Hagstrom Viking!

  • Does anyone know how is the rapid B3 - E0 - B3 is picked? I am trying to up pick each note but I can't play it fast enough or get the same sound. Great video!

  • @ximchrisx use alternate picking

  • thank u now i can go get money on the local streets even tho im ok on money right now time to make extra thank you and god bless :D

  • Great video, keep it up. New music from BRANDON JAROD coming soon!

  • These are fab, thanks a lot! I think I'll be using them a lot.

  • awesome lesson and video!

  • Thanks for the breakdown of the lesson with the tabs just above the video, this was the best way I've ever seen a youtube guitar lesson presented, keep it up man, it was awesome

  • nice lesson..thanks alot!

  • Nice lesson!!! Thank you Robert!!!

  • YES! More licks. It's all I need man. I know the scales and stuff all over the fretboard, but I'm useless at coming up with nice musical phrasing. These 2 licks will be a nice addition to my 'lick database' guitar pro file. Please Robert if you could do a couple licks which link together. Like Emmanuel's guitar boogie. I know that the future for me is combining licks I have learned with my own style. Just seems I can't quite get there. I just sound crap, boring, same pentatonic sound always.

  • 5 Stars

  • AWESOME!!!

  • hey dude could you teach us the next lick up from thease ones?? i love thease licks..

  • Hi Robert (and viewers)!

I'm thinking about buying a fender lone star strat (like the one you reviewed on your website, but new) as my first strat (because of the humbucker). But I'm no expert when it comes to strats, so which strat would be a good first strat that I can have for many years, to about a thousand dollars?

    Thanks

  • tank you rotren

  • I agree thats a pretty Ax

  • love that Hagstrom Sweede

  • @rootboyslim it is a viking..

  • @AndiiTheStratophonic right you are my bad! Robert also has a sweede, which is a single cutaway, and sounds like a Les Paul

  • can we have some more complex licks?
