  • Good grief; ancient Egyptian history is fascinating enough without tarting it up as CSI: Thebes. The cheesy graphics, deafening soundtrack, and Michael Bay trailer-style narrator = lasting under five minutes. Back to Bob Brier audio lectures I go.

  • @shamelesshussy There's something to be said for the simulations. While I enjoy, say, The History of Rome audio series a great deal, I also enjoy the snazzier videos on Ancient Rome, as long as they get the history at least mostly right. And with ancient Egypt, so much of the (high level) history is in the now often barely recognizable architecture. Then again, I probably enjoy vids like Terry Jones' "The Surprising History Of" series most of all: /watch?v=qHl7U_PrxUo

  • This culture is so amazing!!

  • this is my homework assignment, so i have to watch it and write a summary about it.

does anyone else have to do it?? thumbs up if yes :D

  • Ramses II, greatest Pharaoh who ever lived!!!

  • Ramses for president 2012

  • Too dark for red haired ramses. Afrocenterism.

  • I have done a DNA test and I can proudly say that Im descendant from Ramses II the Great. Im also proud and ecstatic to find out that Im 35%Kemetic(ancient Egy,Ramses),25% genuine African(mostly Nubian),15%Arab,10%Greek/Roman,7%Indian,3%Chinese,5%Carthaginian(Hannibal)and Moroccan Berber.that is a Scientific Fact.u will not find many people with that dazzling composition, Mate! Im the end result of millenia of mingling and mixing in the crossroad of Civilizations KEMET (EGYPT).

  • @kimokamal5

    عملته فين التحليل دا ؟؟

  • @mrnozhagdeda inta meen aslan!! 3amaltoh fee London.

  • @kimokamal5 wow really? you dont even know for a FACT what Ramses blood consisted of, and how can u be Greek and Roman simultaneously? that would mean u descended from Anglo-Saxon blood. how can you be 25% African and 5% Carthaginian AND Moroccan? Thats like saying Im 25% American and 5% Californian and part Texan. Furthermore, what's "genuine African"?? idk if you heard, but there is no such thing as one single ethnicity due to, as you said urself, "millenia of mingling and mixing"

  • @kimokamal5 and futhermore, its easy to deduce that anyone can trace their lineage to about any part of the world they want if you go back far enough. Finally, it is "scientific fact", as you say, that if my father, hypothetically, is 50% Chinese, it doesnt mean that I am also 50% Chinese because he interbred with someone of another blood type. even if she was Chinese it wouldnt be full Chinese because her ancestors interbred with outside ethnicities as well, so pls, dont come at us with ur BS.

  • @TheLegendJKil Exactly my point, I'm a mix of every nation that came to Egypt, what is so strange about that?!!! by genuine African I mean Black Africans, not north Africans if u know the difference !

  • where is this documentary from?

  • Long live Ramses! Pharaoh of Kemet!

  • whats the name of the song at the very beginning?
