Again, this is clearly the original Somale-Phillips-Cohrs-Mazzuca reconstruction and not, I don't think, the Carragan reconstruction, although I admit I have yet to hear Carragan's reconstruction. But I am quite familiar with the first SPCM version from the Wildner recording and the second SPCM version from the Layer recording.
I would strongly urge those interested to obtain the Letocart reconstruction from the Abruckner site as I like the coda in that one better than that of the SPCMs.

The fourth movement of Bruckners 9th ,it AINT.The three movements of the 9th are perhaps the greatest in the repertory of the symphony.

Die Finalskizzen sind in einem so fortgeschrittenen Zustand, dass einem letztendlich nur die letzten 37 Takte komplett fehlen, weil sie irgendein Devotionalienjäger aus dem Sterbezimmer mitgenommen hat. Der Rest ist vom Finale zu 1/3 voll Orchestriert zu 2/3 in der Anlage fertig.
Das Adagio war nie als Abschluss der Sinfonie gedacht und es wird Zeit, dass diese Gewohnheit es als solches zu spielen und zu interpretieren abgelegt wird.

...sehr gut...das Adagio, was sonst als 4. Satz aufgeführt wird ist zwar nett, aber niemals von Bruckner als Vollendung der 9. Sinfonie gedacht....

Bruckner is great, but to my taste, mixing the motives and themes from previous symphonies here is not a good resolution. Sounds too artificial.

It sounds very much like Bruckner. Whoever composed that, it matches well the apocalyptic tone of the symphony.
It should be added to some recorded versions.
After all, it has already been done with Mahler's tenth.

Meiner Meinung nach sollte die 9. mit dem Adagio beendet werden, aber das hier ist natürlich ein interessantes Experiment.

Schade, daß Bruckner nicht selbst den 4. vollenden konnte.
Dies hier ist natürlich ein gelungener Versuch, aber wie man weiß verwarf Bruckner sehr oft seine Skizzen...
Wie auch immer ein würdiges 4. Sätzchen .
