christina aguilera has sung the national anthem before in front of large crowds without making any mistakes. it was probably just a brain freeze moment where she got too carried away with the riffs and stuff she was doing before...she has a great voice that's strong and all, but she does tend to get carried away with embellishing her songs at times. no matter what happened, whether people think she sang well or not, it doesn't really change the fact that it's all still pretty funny.

@imposiblelove101 It's not about anyone else singing in front of that many people. It's the fact that she was picked to sing and agreed to do it. She had plenty of time to practice, Plus the fact that she sings in front of thousands of people around the world and she is in movies and can memorize her script. Not even mentioning that it's one of the most known and important songs in the country. She wasn't "Amazing" She was off-key and deserves the criticism she gets.

The main thing is she doesn't do what I would do, which would be to probably stop, swear and run away! She just keeps going :).
