My dam had pups last summer,sadly they began to fade and even with the vets help there wasn't much that could be done.But thankfully after many sleepless nights and half concious feedings I managed to hand rear a beautiful happy bouncing puppy (Nudge-feel free to look at some of the videos of her if you want or not if you don't).And now I'm doing it all again as someone abandoned a litter in my stables 5 weeks ago.Anyhow I hope you have a great time looking after them,give my love to Tuff puppy!

I know you're in Australia and may not have the dog overpopulation problem as in other countries, or do you? While I wish Tuff Puppy and each one of her precious babies the best, I hope you'll be sure all of them get into the best homes possible and that you won't let her get pregnant again. This is a very cruel world for those that end up in the wrong situation, and thousands of "surplus" animals are killed in shelters daily.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything and I'm glad you love animals and everything but I personally think every pet owner should be "allowed" for their pet to atleast have one litter, because it's a great and beneficial experience.

I don't know much about dogs, because I'm a cat lover, but did you know if you spay or neuter a cat before they have kittens or the male experiences a female in heat that it can completely alter their personality and can affect their health?

This is not the kind of world I'd want to bring puppies/kittens into. Visit the killing room of any animal shelter if they will allow you in and see if that is a beneficial experience. And those animals are more fortunate than many who are neglected, abused, or even tortured by very sick and stupid people. I've had spayed/neutered dogs 'forever' and their personalities are totally normal and they live happily to a very old age.

I disagree, if you want to experience a birth, go have your own baby, dont put another animals life at risk for your own benefit.Theres alot more to breeding than just popping one out. what happens if something goes wrong? an animal does not need to experience birth/sex to be an animal, as for cats health being better if they breed, that is a myth and there there is no scientific backing on your claim, infact its shown there is a reduction in mammarian and ovarian cancer if you desex not breed

In all fairness, I really don't care about science because I've seen enough cats to know that they change when they are spayed or neutered. I've probably owned atleast 20 cats during my childhood and YES they were well taken care of.

One example, I had a cat named Oliver when I was 13. After he was neutered he stayed in a cabinet for 6 years and we even had to put his food and water bowls in there. He was terrified to come out of his cabinet. He died in that stupid cabinet. ='(

I have owned just as many cats as you, infact my current two boys were both desexed before maturity and let me tell you, they have no difference in personality than an entire cat, bar the territorial and spraying issues that are present in entire males. I also have had desexed female cats with no different personality than entire females. Desexing does not break a cat or its personality, the fact you rewarded the cat by feeding it in the cabinet is probably why it never came out.
