used hd-player for $20? yeah that day will come. i picked up a ipod shuffle 2nd-gen for 2 bucks at a trift shop because no one thought much of it, it might as well been one of those cheap mini fm radios. same will happen with the hd player, it will be mistaken for another dvd player.. tagged for 20 bucks and right in the hands who knows better.
I say hold on to all formats, as the same with audio formats. From tag sales,thrift shops,flea markets you can spend years picking up titles for rock bottom prices. people dumped their whole vinyl collection for cds, only to build a new one 20 years later, as many are doing today. I dont own any HD-DVD's or HD player..i will when i pick up a player for $20 bucks, and HD titles for $3
Lol, i know.. But it still plays my HD-Dvd discs. Was about to sell it some weeks ago, but i didnt. I just hope they sell all discs now super cheap ;)
I feel the same way. Why is it so bad that HD DVD lost? Just because SACD (for example) isn't doing so well, doesn't mean people can't enjoy what's available. Same thing with vynil, DVD-A, etc, etc, and CD (think about MP3s and their impact).
Adeo Grayvision 100" with 1.0 gain that is, its stretchable and framed. Very pleased with it. Could have gone for 104 inch but then again im 3,5-3.75m from the screen so i guess its good enough.

And dont buy the hd-dvd player for 360 unless you have the new version with HDMI cause you wont get the tRue hD audio..
