Well,The only reason why the ducks are sick is because of the bread. I looked on google,And.. They said that the ducks LOVE bread. But bread has these chemicals. So when the ducks are in the pool.. and the ducks poo. The poo can cause mold. The mold can KILL the ducks..... I have a duck <3 And,I will not allow it to eat bread.

I'm a own ducks but I never treat them like that. I give them dry food but it's in crumble form which is easier on them, plus lettuse and they will go outside when they're old enough. A duck needs water after week 4 to 6 depending on the breed so that might be why they kill them at that time. I change the ducklings litter and water every 3-6 hours in order to keep them from getting wet on the bottom and getting sick. I've rescued my ducks but I do look for inbreeding signs before I take them in.

The prob lies with the consumer wanting cheap meat, pay a few dollars more for free range! Blame the supermarkets for screwing the farmer into the ground.

Free range should be better supported, and duck eggs should be more popular and availble in the grocery store. My ducks are all egg layer breeds because that's why I have ducks.
