I've done this before to the point where I had to have an ambulance take me to the ER because I was dying from all the blood I had lost.The worst part is the feelings you have right before you pass out.You can literally feel your life draining away.If you start to panic, that would of course increase the pain/discomfort you feel.

Wrong ! This interpretation of a suicide by cutting is very poor.. Cutting to the point your blood is all out of your body..requires some deep cutting thru the ligaments.. I don't think most people realize that cutting is one of the most painful way to end your life..it;s so painful you scream in pain if you do cut it right.. This scene makes it rather look almost painless and easy !! Beside close to 90% of people commit suicide by cutting, end up in hospitals for not doing it the right way...

@EuropeanGuy87 Wtf are you talking about?? Blood clots on its own, it doesnt need any hot water to help it. And neither a higher body temp or being in hot water will really significantly affect how fast the blood drains out of your body. Your heart rate and the blood vessel you hit make the biggest difference, and as any paramedic or ER doc will tell you, it's almost impossible to bleed out of your wrists to the point of death before they clot unless you really tear the whole vessels apart.
@elements806 I know blood clot almost immediately after the injury. Trust me you can easily die from bleeding out of your wrists if you know how to cut. When my cousin was 11 we were playing around and he smashed a window with his fist on purpose...and the glass cut really deep in his wrist..and you can't imagine how the blood was squirting out and very fast. The reason 90% of people fail trying it.. cause nobody really have the guts to cut deep enough..which is a good thing in the end..

The actress uses a stunt razor-blade, that pumps fake blood along her arm, as she "pretends" to cut herself, whilst not actually slicing her wrist open. Through the use of editing, fake blood is then added to the water, by CGI or just using animal blood/fake blood instead, and you then get a compellingly disturbing scene like this!
@PoochJD The razor can potentially contain the fake blood, hense the air being let out through the tip of the "blade". Apply pressure to "draw" the line for the cut. No CGI or editing needed. Just slight camera angles and tilting of the prop to make it look real.

@wolfheart310 It's called special effects, and editing techniques! The actress uses a stunt razor-blade, that pumps fake blood along her arm, as she "pretends" to cut herself, whilst not actually slicing her wrist open. Through the use of editing, fake blood is then added to the water, by CGI or just using animal blood/fake blood instead, and you then get a compellingly disturbing scene like this!

@PoochJD The razor can potentially contain the fake blood, hense the air being let out through the tip of the "blade". Apply pressure to "draw" the line for the cut. No CGI or editing needed. Just slight camera angles and tilting of the prop to make it look real.

@sexaylaydie She has painful thoughts and even when the pain (you have to cut very deep) turns to faint, your facial expression isn't relaxed cause your body fights against the weakness.
However, the whole thing would take much longer, but it's nice played and a great scene nonetheless.
