  • How can you sound so RAW. I love the word "raw". I also love Thrice, a match made in heaven.

  • That fuckign bass tone, fuck! soooo aggressive! love it

  • I love how NO ONE dislikes this. this one is my favourite of this whole session, and that is a tough decision to make.

  • fuck, this band can do no wrong.

  • My mind was Blown

  • when a vocalist is screaming or using a lot of vocal fry, why do they extend their tongue?

  • @Withateethuh to make the mouth more cavernous and change the sound of it. Try it.

  • Dude, am I the only one who gets a little bit of a chub when he backs of from the mic and screams "IN A TIGHT FIST!" right before they start rocking the chorus? Seriously awesome.

  • so much energy & emotion packed in just the first 30 seconds. imagine what this band could do for you in a whole discography....

  • Crowd is just standing still whats with that?!?!?

  • @gpermata

the only reason for that i hope is that they are mesmerized. when i saw them live i stood there like a dork with my mouth gaping open. but there were explosions going off in my head and my soul so....

  • I think I prefer this version to the studio track.

  • sick editing on the video

  • Bass on this song... Just makes it.

Easily one of my favorite bands of all time!

  • in order to live a satisfied life we need to walk with GOD

  • This might be the best live band EVER

  • god i love the bridge of this song!

  • i LOVE the bass player on this song.. especially this live session. You can hear him so well.., man, i just love every part of thrice. Such a treat, and good band.

  • gay ass crowd

  • How did Ed DIY that bass? Warmoth ain't got no Grabber parts!

  • @ryl417 I believe one of or his first bass was a grabber, so I know hes a big fan.

  • @ryl417 Pretty sure he built it from scratch... like from a plank of wood basically. The man knows what he's doing haha

  • definitely one of the top bands of the last decade

  • eds bass lines are fuckin sick!

  • @now5230 His tone is awesome, too.

  • Thrice may be the only band that i actually prefer live over studio

  • @easternbiker47 Phish.

  • @ThomasE3 it's 4/4

  • No dislikes? HELL YEAH!

  • what genre will thrice conquer next?

    ...dubstep?

  • @1337CACK

according to their blog, math rock

  • THRICE!!! Constantly changing, constantly being amazing!!!

  • Teppei looks a bit like Keanu Reaves in this performance ! haha

Awesome band, they are amazing !

  • thrice doesn't get nominated, cause if they did, there'd be no need for a two hour long show with b rate musicians and lip sync specialists to show their 'ability' to perform at a much lower quality than their cd.

simply put: they'd win everything, every time.

  • No dislikes!? This is the first video without dislikes i have ever seen!

  • eddie sounds awesome in this video, i wish the bass was more prominent in the album

  • The day that bands like Thrice start winning Grammy's is the day humanity is finally going in the right direction. That's the day people have realized what really matters in life and how humans can be so much more than just money and sex.

  • man i bet thrice would be awesome even if they tried rap metal

  • @FakeFlourescentSkies

please don't give them terrible ideas.... and anyway they're too talented for that shit.

  • their live playing sound the same as their records its awesome!

  • This song totally reminds me of ATDI

  • Thrice are incapable of making bad music.

  • Thrice is definately one of the most underrated bands in music today. Thay have great music, but not just that. Their lyrics always have some real intense meaning and it makes you want to anylize and better yourself. This is one of the best songs on an album full of awesome songs.

  • my favorite song off Beggars! "needy hands are reaching out, got my spare change and my pride in a tight fist"

  • i get to see these guys tomorrow! im sooooo stoked

  • Everything this band does is pure gold.

  • i cant believe that this sounds exactly like the album live. tepp dustin eddy and riley are all music geniuses on their instruments they are such mature musicians and they play tlgether so well. the tones the vibe evrything is amazing

  • The bass sounds amazing!

  • @danipicols the bass sounds fuckin god awful

  • Love thrice they're so sick!

  • lol fuck the crowd, Thrice is so intense live

  • the brothers are the perfect rythym section...

  • Thrice doesn't need a Grammy. Better that they have touched so many lives and caused people to search themselves. This is the mark of their accomplishment, not that they earned some shiny trophy that falsely says "This is what life is about." Why write plastic songs that win plastic awards while living plastic Hollywood lives? Because it's easier than searching your own soul for depth and purpose. Because it's easier to have everyone like you than talk about things that stir up the mind.

  • couldnt have said it better myself@elseif83

  • lovin' it at 1:02

  • I love the grunge loud-soft dynamic in this song.

  • every single song on this CD has amazing drums...not difficult drums or anything like that but jsut really really different. It's not normal following the beat drumming is the best way I can explain it. It's more music than beat I guess I dunno Im not a drummer but I love the drums on this album

  • You're right, what he does much on this album is putting his snare a little bit later, that its not on the 4th note but on the 4,5th note for example.

Can be just me thinking that though, haha

  • @N00bInItUp Yeah, it's definitely got a lot of groove to it. Very Bonham-esque.

  • @N00bInItUp thats cause it's progressive. that's a fancy way for saying creative lol

  • @N00bInItUp Also, forgot to mention, he counts a lot of 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4 on this album, which makes it sound really different already

  • @TomasE3 Hey buddy this album has a ton of 4 sorry.

  • @N00bInItUp he has a seriously indivisual style. right down to the sound he achieve with the way he plays the damn things, its unreal, him and ed have a seriously good link together and make up a hell of alot of what is so amazing about thrice, blows my mind

  • @N00bInItUp even in this performance, the drums sound awesome. whoever the sound tech was, they did a damn good job on this performance.

  • @N00bInItUp your right the drums are not difficult or anything. but they go really good with the music which riley always does.

  • ....i qq'd

  • ugh so much energy in this song!! I hope one day i can see this live.

  • they are amazing live. everyone should see them live at least once.

  • @imhereformusic haha ONCE?!?! please, im up to 24 times. :)

  • shit man thrice is fuckin epic, i dont understand how these guys haven't like won the nobel peace prize or something

  • i love the bass in this... and the guitars... and his voice... and the drums... so basically the song... oh AND THE BAND

  • I love thrice!!!

  • amen jeanette!! the best band ever!!

  • This is my favorite song on Beggars...so much diversity transitioned so goood!

    007 fuck the world hahahahaha

  • has anyone posted these in mp3 format yet?

  • damn thrice is so amazing, im just wondering why they havent ever been nominated for a Grammy or anything? not that it would really affect them in a good or bad way, but i thought it was suppossed to be about the best music their is, and Thrice just proves with every album that they are the best. dont wanna fight or anything just wondering why not thrice yet they nominate Taylor Swift? anyone can write about a boy. just curious

  • because thrice, tragically, doesn't get nearly the attention that they deserve. they'd need much more notoriety for any hope at any award

  • yea very true.

  • because this isn't pop or rap..thats what it seems like 90% of the world listens too because its' cool' people are so stuck on what other people are doing they won't broden their horizens

  • horizens

  • Because the grammy's is merely a popularity contest and not a "talent' ceremony. It really is a shame, but you know what? These guys are far superior to most bands out there today, and don't need a gold-plated statue. I'm very grateful for this band and the music they've made. They've definitely gotten me through some very very hard times in my life.

  • "They've definitely gotten me through some very very hard times in my life. "

    Same with me.

  • @imhereformusic the world will never know how much thrice should get a grammy lol. too bad they do give them out to people who dont even write their own music.

  • My friend always says the best bands are always the most under appreciated. Thrice is a perfect example of that my friend. The world doesn't like amazingly composed or emotional music. They like generic catchy bubble gum pop.

  • @imhereformusic I think it's because the grammy's aren't about good music at all, they're about who's the most popular and respected. Thrice is an amazing band, but they don't fit with the expectations a grammy winner should have. And Thrice is great just the way they go so, I suppose grammy's aren't needed either for Thrice!

  • @imhereformusic

There is a little box of gems out there and thrice are without doubt in there. To put it quite bluntly, thrice don't appeal to the mass. More than often, not everybody will listen to beautiful and well articulated pieces of music like that produced by thrice. These days, you get a catchy beat, 2 lines of bog standard lyrics, someone who can half sing and you have success. It's not exactly fair is it? But the public buy into it and it makes them money.

  • @imhereformusic

Grammys is just a popularity contest, always has been, always will be. So unfortunatly bands like thrice will never win one unless everybody finally wakes the fuck up and starts to listen to real, genuine music with some meaning and some importance

  • @imhereformusic grammy's are about popular not skill

  • @imhereformusic Because the media chooses to bombard us with mindless garbage they call music

  • @imhereformusic The grammies are for music that makes the most money. Thrice blows every single artist that won and nominated this year out of the water. The fact that millions of people would rather listen to Bruno Mars or Black Eyed Peas than Thrice worries me. If you want them to be famous they'll have to strip their sound and add synth/dubstep beats, and add an intillectualy challenged chorus.

  • @tlanedesign Who wants Thrice to get famous anyway? That'd completely ruin it for their real fans. They do deserve the money more than artists such as Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, etc. though.

  • @imhereformusic It's because a Grammy doesn't mean anything. It's about popularity not music. The fact that there are always comments about how amazing Thrice is and how much they have affected someone's life, is worth more than any grammy.

  • @imhereformusic Bands like thrice brand new manchester orchestra the dear hunter etc. all deserve those awards more. I agree completely.

  • WONDERFUL

  • stellar

  • normally i dont enjoy listening to this song but this live performance is tight !

  • Absolutely AMAZING!
