  • Truly an underrated singer of both her genre and time. Reminds of a mixture of Ella Sarah and Billy but still very unique in her own right. RIP Maxine!

  • I love her up front! She had a most lovely voice!

  • One of the greatest! Bravo!

  • love this song.

  • MS and Helen Ward do great justice to this song. MS was a great singer with great voice control. Thanks for the posting.

  • Voz ainda perfeita naquela idade. Grande vídeo =]

  • One of the very best singers of popular song. Simple, clean singing.

  • So good, Never got the credit she deserved. RIP Maxine.

  • Maxine with Art Hodes... Gee, it is so nice to know such things exist! Maxine is surely one of the greatest jazz singers of pre-bop era, and I agree totally underrated!

  • THE most under-rated singer in history. She was every bit as good as Ella and Dinah. Her late 1930's work is killer. And she held her voice in old age better than anyone I have ever heard. "Loch Lomond" was made due to the ASCAP/BMI wars...Thank god for that publishing fight!

  • What a great stylist, what a swell song!

  • Superb!

    Thanks for posting.

  • Fantastic, straight to her own playlist
