  • He can play guitar. He can act. He can do backflips. He can play sports. He can be a nerd. & he can time travel :O

  • @vidmizz - Yes he is playing the guitar, but there is a session studio singer doing the vocal parts.

  • Thats not him singing.

  • @Snotra it is him infact he wanted to become a musican before he became an actor

  • great video!!!!!

i always love michael j. foX!!!!!!

  • TBQH IF THERE WOULDNT BE A LITTLE COUNTRY BOY WITH A GUITAR , BECASUE IT WOULD PROBLY GET TOOK OF HIM

  • Chuck and Little Richard got the whole thing rolling.

  • I guess 4 people aren't ready for this vid yet, but their kids are gonna love it...

  • i wonder if he can still play. it'd be sad if he couldn't anymore. it'd be extra-cool if his guitar playing helped him with his ticks and stuff.

  • no words can describe the consumate actor, musician and humanbeing Michael J Fox is and always will be

  • CAN YOU PASS ME THE FIRST IMAGE THAT APPERAS IN THE VIDEO!!!!!????PLEASE!!!SOMEONE!!

  • günter jauch vs michael j fox xD

  • fantastic i loved it god bless u michale

  • he was GOING to go as far as sing himself but there wasn't enough time, so instead he just learned and played the guitar for the video.

    Pretty impressive! :D

  • Lol..........my mom used to have a crush on michael j fox when Back to the Future came out in the 80's..........and she's 38 now!

  • .....Authentic Artist.........

  • FYI, in case you're a guitarist like myself. When Michael turns to the band before the before the start of Johnny B. Goode and says" This is a blues riff in B, watch me for the changes and try to keep up", it is not in B. It is actually in B flat.

  • @GoldtopSam in an interview he says during filming he plays it in B for some reason, I forgot what though.

  • @GoldtopSam

then the script is wrong. Dont blame the actor, blame the writers.

  • @GoldtopSam Keith Richards says Chuck Berry likes to play in strange keys like Bb, not the usual A, E, D, etc most guitarists write in. He came up playing with Johnnie Johnson, a great piano player, and Bb is a common piano key

  • @fenderstratguy and also the fatc that if you listen chuck berrys guitar was never really in tune jus like clapton always play out of tune i think clapton does not to sure

  • Anyone who would like the information on this feel free to email me at svasqu01@swbell.net and I will provide you with the links to Mark Campbell and Tim May and you will see for yourself that they did the work. Tim in an interview gives Michael a glowing review for accurately fingering the parts convincingly.

  • @JeepRuby101. No he did not play OR sing in BTTF. See the responses to PaulisWilliam. And with a little research on your own, you will find he did not play or sing in BTTF. This has been known for many years now. Michael does play and has for many years, but states it is becoming increasingly difficult, but has recently jammed with some big names.

  • Special thanks are given to Tim May and Mark Campbell in the end credits. you may Also visit IMDb.com and look at the soundtrack credits. You will find it 'dubbed by Mark Campbell'(uncredited). And Tim May can be found online with this work in his body of credits. MJF was not cast for the role originally, Eric Stoltz was. The track was recorded before MJF was re-cast, they re-filmed but left the track as it was, as Stoltz did not sing or play. Stoltz was fired after a month of filming.

  • @PaulisWilliam. HE IS NOT PLAYING JOHNNY B. GOODE IN BTTF. IT WAS TIM MAY ON GUITAR AND MARK CAMPBELL ON VOCALS. DO YOUR RESEARCH! THIS INFO IS WIDELY KNOWN. PAUL HANSON DID THE COACHING AND PLAYED THE GUITAR PART WHERE MICHAEL AUDITIONS FOR THE PRESENT DAY DANCE AND GETS STOPPED BY HUEY LEWIS. IT IS ALSO IN THE BONUS FEATURES IN THE DVD BOX SET.

  • @ PaulisWilliam..Yes, Michael indeed plays, but he did not play Johnny B. Goode at the The Enchantment Under The Sea dance in BTTF. Ace session man Tim May played the guitar parts and Mark Campbell did the vocals. You will find this information in the soundtrack album. Musician and coach Paul Hanson was brought to coach Michael on the moves. I have won many a bet on this. I'd be glad to take your money as well. Michael in interviews has said it as well.

  • If He CANT Play Guitar, Why Is He ON STAGE!? PEOPLE! Use The Brains You Have!

  • EVERYONE!!!!!!!!! He IS Playing, He Is NOT Singing, Look It Up, He Played Along With Eric Clapton This Year,

  • I've watched a lot of Video's trying to find the actual scene of this from the movie, they got everything else except the actual scene of this.

  • Although Michael indeed plays, he did not play Johnny B. Goode with The Starlighters at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance in BTTF. Mark Campbell is credited with the vocals and Tim May did the guitar work

  • @GoldtopSam Maybe Tim May Played The Ending Where He Played Behind His Back An Shows Off.

  • Does anybody know where I can find a video where michael j fox is playing live? Not pictures .Like for example when he was playing guitar at 0.46 of this video.

  • can he play guitar with parkinsons

  • dont think so he is not the same surprised he still acts now and then.

  • hm.

  • chuck berry-jhonny b. goode

  • hes awsome i love him lol:L

  • Is there an instrumental of this version of the song? The karaoke version sounds funny, and I was asked to sing this song...

  • I totally want to see the clip of Michael with the Who!

  • its chuck berry

  • you want to actually read what i'm writing? im not talking about the music in the background. some of the pictures are from a charity event he did where he and other celebs played beatles music. thats what i want to see. Notice how i said "..that beatles themed set THERE WERE PICTURES FROM..."

  • alrite don't die over it

  • Since when were Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey in Pink Floyd????I think you're a little mixed up with your bands.

  • Yes, he actually played in BTTF. And he can still play guitar. Whatsmore, he played with The Who not too long ago.

  • He didn't PLAY. He fingered the notes.

  • @JeepRuby101 No he didnt..

  • @HayesProject79 He DID Play, He Can Play That Song.

  • @PaulisWilliam I simply replied to the statement that he played in BTTF and I am 100% correct. HE DID NOT

  • @JeepRuby101 No he didn't play it in BTTF. That was Tim May on the recording. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Michael J Fox actually could play it because he did an outstanding job pretending to play the guitar part in the movie.

  • @ACDC7369 He Can, He Played With Eric Clapton This Year,

  • @JeepRuby101 Michael J. Fox did not play this in the movie. A studio guitar player named Mark Campbell played it. Michael J. Fox does play guitar so he was able to make it very realistic but the actualy recording was not done by him.

  • @JeepRuby101 actually he didnt play in the movie..

  • @silat13 Are you sure about that? Because there's a video of him actually playing it here. And I can't imagine 25 years ago...

Michael J. Fox Playing "Johnny B. Goode" LIVE!

    youtube dot com /watch?v=P8Y-PdD1TbA

  • @silat13 The song was pre-recorded for the film, but MJF actually said he mimed it, note for note, because he wanted it to be believable. So, its not too difficult to think he could do the same years later, with the guitar actually functioning.

  • @JeepRuby101 Actually it wasn't him who played in the movie. He does play but someone else did the guitar/vocals. Look it up! Watch the blu ray behind the scenes.

  • AWESOME yes he was in back to the future on this song

  • Comment removed

  • did he play himself in back to the future???

  • Yes indeed Michael J.Fox plays guitar

  • a very unfortunate correction... M J Fox did play guitar, i'm pretty sure he can't anymore

  • you mean very fortunate amirite?

  • no unfortunate, i couldn't imagine how shitty it would be if i was forced to quite guitar

  • were forced*

  • He still plays you guys. He was seen playing a small part with pete townsend and roger daltrey of Pink Floyd last year

  • damn really? now that's talent to be able to play guitar with Parkinson's

  • Yeah let alone walk and stand correctly. There were many times he was confined to a chair. Poor dude is all i can say :S

  • Roger Daltry and Pete Townsend are in THE WHO!!!

  • no they are in pink floyd lol

  • He really plays guitar?

  • I didn't know he'd pick up a guitar every now and then in the recent years!

  • I love ittt!!!
