I have downloaded it and it works except when I try to publish a project to DVD, the DVD maker won't open. I know I can publish it to the computer but I just wonder why it won't open DVD maker. Is it because I have the newest DVD maker? Also, I didn't get the HD options. Can you explain why?

@NightElysian Not sure about the DVD Maker problem, but in order to have HD options, make sure you extract the Profiles folder in the correct place.

@NightElysian I know what the problem is, The Windows 7 DVD Maker does not support MSWMM files, you have to publish a movie as a file, then import it to DVD Maker

I was able to download both files and was able to place the profile folder where you suggested for 64 bit Windows 7 OS. I was able to get into the program and operate as I did with Vista. I thought I was home free, but when I turned on my computer the next day, it wouldn't start and I was prompted to put in a disk for system recovery (which I don't have). So I rebooted and was able to do a system restore, after which the moviemaker program and the profile folder disappeared. Am I out of luck?

@AQWdonotreki The second download, "profiles," is to add the HD rendering options when you save the video. You can use the program without it, but you'll need it if you wish to make HD videos.

(In the movie maker forums they all say -and the MM 6.0 64-bit download confirms- it's in the C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\ ; while the 32-bit it's in the (x86) one.

@Carmilaish , @Orion8888888 - If you are on a 64-bit operating system, the program will install to "C:\Program Files (x86)" since it's a 32-bit program on a 64-bit system. Otherwise, if you're on an actual 32-bit system, it'll just be "C:\Program Files".
