This is beautiful!!! Love the movie. My husband was 1/3 Cherokee. I had the honor of talking to his full blood Grandfather. When his Grandfather passed away at the age of 95, there was not a gray hair in his coal black hair. He was raise in a reservation. He shared with me his memories of the reservation. He kept a lot of the traditions of his culture. I loved that man. He called me his "golden hair granddaughter". I was the only one that didn't have black or brown hair in the whole family.

The tune is indeed originally called "The "Gael" which was composed by Scots Composer Dougie Maclean. It was first heard on his album "The Search" in 1990, it was adapted by Trevor Jones for the film "last of the mohicans" Dougie is still living and composing in Scotland.I bet he would be a bit mift if some one though HM Royal Marines wrote it. Although they did play it at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Now "The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo" a few years back.This version is wonderful.
