  • Wow nice tribute, I love the 747-8

  • 0:25 best picture

  • the first boeing 747-800 landed at maastricht/aachen airport as 1st in europe or netherlands either one of those i saw it it was from cargolux very nice :) and the airbridgeCargo @ 0:30 lands there everyday :) nice to see and hear :D

  • sexy ass! xD

  • thumbs up if you think the A380 is MUCH better!!

  • @361Navigator

A380 really looks like a dumb, fat ugly woman with a very big fat forehead, especially looks at the front. but the 747 is real sexy and beautiful.

  • @andylam73 I couldn't agree more....

  • @sourjerer

u think the same right. guess we all are the jumbo fans. good for u.

  • @andylam73 haha.. yeah :D

  • freaky wings on that boeing )))))

  • @Mr2pint The raked wing tips help to reduce drag and from what I understand they are more fuel efficient than blended wingtips or those used on the A380

  • @ConcordeCentral The slightly shorter A340-600 have problems with balance and fuel effeciency due to their extremely long fuselage. How´s that in B747-8?Does anybody know???THNX.

  • @SuperBoris81 The 747 may be fine due to its extra weight at the front (as in the upper deck). I'm sure Boeing have thought about it though, I wouldn't put it past them.

  • @ConcordeCentral You are right the raked wingtips significantly reduce drag, you will see this on all future designed large aircraft including future Airbus aircraft. Drag reductions that significant reduce fuel consumption by 14 to 18%

  • @prohelipilot1 Ah, I thought so, it makes sense I guess from the shape of them. Thanks for that.

  • Boeing 747 has come a long way it's been about 40 years. and it managed to survive all that with out any technical difficulties and aircraft of it's size was a fantasy. But it was made possible without any difficulties and If y

  • @Buzsaw1000

Sorry for the cut. I was saying that even if airbus A380 is huge ok it has many difficulties plus it also has an unstable design and looks like a friggin helium balloon. i mean boeing 747 survived 40 years and with small enhancements it made big achievements and if boeing want to make a 747 bigger they can make it bigger than the A380 any how the A380 will soon become Obselete in a few years unlike a 747 so all of you fan boys praise it while it lasts.

  • almost every aviation fan used to love the classic 747 but when the Big Fat Ugly Whale came some people choose the A380 what a shame :(

  • @fabianvelazquez1 dont worry i still love the 747

  • @fabianvelazquez1 Everyone loves the 747 but it doesn't mean they should hate the A380 because it's bigger. Even Boeing congratulated Airbus for producing such a big plane and they told Airbus that their aim was no longer to go for the world's biggest commercial airliners and that they would pass that job onto Airbus. Boeing has changed it's objectives to passenger comfort, efficiency and quieter engines.

  • @faz4321 and so they should! Would you rather be in an aircraft with another 500+ people or in an aircraft which is quiet, has a great feeling and great air quality??

  • @ConcordeCentral Tbh I hate quite aircraft, I prefer things such as GE90's roaring down the runway, it makes my flying experience a hell lot better. As for capacity I once again don't care but it sure is nice going in a big ass plane lol. A380 or 747 they are both amazing planes, the fact that all new planes are going for the "quite and efficient" label is the only let down for me and that includes both the A380 and 747.

  • @ConcordeCentral great feeling, and airquality. but i do love the roar of the engines

  • @fabianvelazquez1 Yep, but I will always go for the 747.

  • I personally like the 747-8 a lot better, but in facts the A380 is good too with it's seating capacity. As of now it's a fact that no one really knows which one is more efficient. But the 747-8 has definitely won over in design with it's paradise designs, and the airports don't have to pay for modifications for it to land there like they have to do with the A380. But the A380 is good too with some of it's economics and seating capacity. It's range is a bit longer too. But I like 747-8.

  • @DNETV yeah there is a little difference with range but i'm sure there will be a 747-8ER possibly?!? but yes i think the thought of not converting airports will suade airliners to the 747

  • great video and what is the name of the song?

  • @marwilmartiescobar Finger Eleven - Paralyzer

  • A380 THE KING

  • @thephubet a380 needs to be around a little longer and prove itself before it is crowned anything

  • Boeing 747-8 are better than crappy piece of shit A380 fatass!!!

  • @Chrispy854 they have so much character in the design both inside and outside compared to the a380

  • @ConcordeCentral do you know 747 yeh? why do they have to use front flaps? any reasons??

  • @Chrispy854 im not 100% sure but i think its because it allows the aircraft to have a higher angle of attack, i believe they are also called 'leading edge slats' and the rear ones are flaps

  • @Chrispy854

    wtf u say!non sense!

  • Why use A380 when you have this pretty lady:-)

  • @bedrichovak indeed, sure the 747-8i wont hold as many passengers as the a380 but who cares? the 747 family have proved themselves with design etc. over the last four decades where the a380 still needs to do that. the interior of the 747 will look more sophistocated than that of the a380 which stands today

  • You put awsome music to an awsome plane

  • @flightdeckreviews thanks :)

  • Nice video presentation. Poor audio, in my opinion.

  • @pillmasters yeah "/, an audio swap because youtube dislike my music i usually put on lol

  • This comment is assigned to every1 who thinks that Airbus is a copy of Boeing.

You try to design a plane that does not look like any Airbus, or Boeing. The Airbus company made the A380 in 2004, because airliners asked Airbus to do so. It was not built to replace the Boeing 747. And please, today when we need to think about the enviroment. How could Airbus not make a plane similair to the B787? Besides, neither of them makes turboprop planes. They both NEED to build jets, so there you go.

  • Of course, Boeing sets the standards...Airbus sits back in their offices in Europe probably eating an assorted variety of cheeses with seasoned Bordeaux wines relaxing and socializing. When Boeing has a new invention Airbus immediately seeing how they can add an extra feature or two to make it better. Look how long it took them to make something bigger than the B747...Almost 40 years! Facts speak more than words! Boeing all the way baby!!!

  • @jav1182 yeah the a380 is really heavy, with a huge wingspan (even compared to the 747-8) so its really not as superior as well any of the 747 varients! the 747-8 will be a lot better than the a380, the engines are easier to remove and service as they are seperated into 2 parts. the 747-8 can travel around the same range as the a380 and it can cruise at Mach 0.86 (0.01 faster than the a380). regardless of the smaller passenger volume in the 747 i still believe it will be very sucessful

  • @ConcordeCentral...Yeah, no doubt about that. What's even better is that the new B747-8 will have the same features as the B787...So everything inside the B747-8 will be completely hi-tech and modern...totally cutting edge!

  • @jav1182 yeah its a shame the new 747doesnt have the dimming windows :/ but who cares? the interior will be more roomy

  • @ConcordeCentral imagine an A380-900 capacity: 670 passenger in 3 class and like 900 passenger in 1 class, thats what will make future.

    747: piece of shit

  • @miiiikeh yeah but i think Airbus will need a lot more orders of the A380-800 before thinking about building the -900 as there are only a few airlines (that I know of) that wish to purchase somethig like the -900

  • @miiiikeh how is it a piece of shit if it's 10 percent lighter per seat and will consume 11 percent less fuel per passenger than the A380, translating into a trip-cost reduction of 21 percent and a seat-mile cost reduction of over 6 percent? hahahaha

  • @AdverbAdjective

Nope, that's compared to the 747-400 and not the A380.

  • personally, my favorite picture was the 1 of the concorde at the beginning

  • @trevermark1 yeah its a really nice picture, taken at the right time of landing and day

  • @empyohon what was poorly done?

  • yeah but if 1 of these did a steep dive those wings would break off for sure

  • @legolandis im sure they might but aircraft dont generally need to dive steeply do they? im sure boeing are looking or have looked into this issue

  • @ConcordeCentral ok then

  • @legolandis

uh, what i would think, i dont think they would be stupid enough to leave a danger just like that. there also should be a reason on WHY they made the wings like that in the first place.

  • The hype on the A380 is wearing off already. Pax are catching on to the fact that once inside the cabin, all widebodies look and feel the same. Being inside the largest plane in the sky does not mean that your Y class seat are also correspondingly large. I am rooting for the 747-8I. I think it has a gd chance of landing further sizable orders beyond Lufthansa and Korean Air.

  • @trent8002003 yeah it would take a while but lets be honest, the 747 doesnt need to prove itself. i recon after the first year or so in service once other airlines hear about how good it is and how worth the money it is the orders will keep going up, i believe that there are over 400 airports that can currently sustain the weight of the 747-8i as well

  • i belive that this will be th last 747 variant unless more passenger orders are made

  • yes a totally new aircraft would be nice as long as it is based on the 747 and not the a380

  • No Question the Boeing 747-8 is all the people around the worlds dream to fly on it , it's simply the best. & finally the most beautiful out look ...

  • yeah boeing really did themselves proud designing this

  • I love Boing planes. Their the best looking planes around, and the inside is amazing!

    It's a masterpiece.

  • indeed the 747-8i is indeed a beautiful aircraft

  • Great plane, It'll probably be much more successful, and the commercial variant (-8i) will probably get more orders once the first one flies and demonstrates it's economically efficient abilities.

  • yeah its a shame that airlines arnt taking so much interest with the 747-8i orders will pick up im sure

  • good news for boeing, korean airlines has ordered 5 of the passenger version a few weeks ago, that adds to lufthansa's order of 20!

  • hopefully british airways will take an interest

  • Boeing and Airbus ROCKZ

  • @Nat2370 Boeing and Lockheed Martin is my favs.. Airbus is a little wannabe Boeing...

  • no, only boeing. airbus is just a copycat that TRIES to improve things on boeing models lol

  • @maxwellus000123 i think airbus have a look at what boeing do and then have a look at how they can do it better

  • @Nat2370 what fi airbus and boeing came together?O_O Well don't see that any time soon.

  • does anyone knows the pax capacity for 747-800 ?

  • im sure if u google it u will find it

  • airbus SUCKS!!!! boeing RULES!!!!

  • Boeing is the king of the skies

  • personally i think the A380 would look a bit better if they put the cockpit window abit higher so its aligned to the 2nd floor windows....

boeing knows how to make a good looking plane...

  • yeah it would look better instead of in the middle of the two.

the 747 does look a lot better as it is in line with the 2nd floor

  • What is name of the song that you put for this video. Boeing Rulez! Airbus Sucks!

  • 'Finger 11'

  • a new song:

Airbus plane are falling down, falling down, falling down. Airbus planes are falling down, Airbus loses

    hahaha xD

  • yeah i guess that works

  • yet more of boeing's are falling, yet boeing is standing strong

  • lol

  • thats true lol

  • The 747-8 looks more refined while the A380 look bloated. All Airbus did was made the plane bigger which doesn't require as much talent as what Boeing did; no wonder the US and the WTO accused Airbus of accepting subsidies/steroids since it couldn't keep up. Also, what are the chances that the A380 will be filled up with 800 people, considering that it is just too heavy on some runways?

  • yeah and most airports who are taking the A380 will need (or have already) resurfaced the runways to take the sheer weight of the aircraft. At least the 747-8 is a little heavier (correct me if im wrong) than the -400 model that is in use today

  • The 747-400 weighs 406,900 lbs while the slightly heavier 747-8 weighs 472,900 lbs. The A380 weighs a whopping 610,000 lbs; that's 140,000 lbs heavier than the new 747.

  • ok then i was right, so at least if airports take on the 747-8 then they probably wont need to resurface as some will have had other large aircraft landing and taking off

  • but it's alot lighter and efficient than the A380, and in the first place, the airports said they don't wanna handle the a380

  • The 747 is bigger and better than ever. This newest version is so beautiful. This plane is over 250 feet long!

  • yes definatly the elegant sweeping of the wings, the mean front view of the cockpit and nose, the modern engines and not forgetting the upstairs hump that made Boeing and the 747 famous!

  • i like 747-400 more cause it is good looking

  • yeah i guess the -8 is just an updated version of the -400 (as stupid as it sounds as we know it really is anyway) but i dnt think there was anything wrong with the -400 so boeing are just updating the -400 really

  • at 0:26 the 747 800 just look so much more elegant than the ugly balugaon the right..

  • yeah it totally does

its the 747-8 (- = DASH) it sounds a bit crap but unfortunatly it isnt called the 800, it would be great to be called 800 rather than -8i

  • I think the 747-8 will be a grate plane! Engines and upper cabin look awesome!!!

  • yeah it will be amazing

  • The vid could have done just fine without gay ass disturbed.

  • Yeah, she's still Queen of the sky in my opinion. The new stretched version look even more elegant than the older models.

  • oh yes definatly it looks amazing boeing have really done well with this model i love the engines (i know some will disagree) not only do they keep noise down they look amazing and they r nice and fuel efficient compared to the a380...

I do love the way the wings are gradually going upwards and curving they look better than the 400's winglets and the interior brings the 747, 787 and other aircraft into the 21st century

  • how do you know that the 747-8 is bether than the a380 i mean it has a a380-900

that is in production like the b747-8.

  • it looks better, more elegant and being a 747 it cant go wrong as it has served many airlines for a very long time and if it is as popular as the 747 it will definatly outlive the a380

  • yes but you cant say nothing how good both planes both in production (A380-900)

    (B747-8)

  • yes but we have been given images and looks inside as to what the interiors may look like

  • airbus sucks boeing can just buy airbus any minute

  • airbus is NEW boeing is since worldwar2 in the 60s boeing created b-747-100 the biggest jet in the world. n boeing created the first passenger jet plane with mcdonnel duglos. wait n see b-797

  • its not known what the 797 will look like though i dont even think they have given out any images if they are planning to make it yet

  • its nicer than A380

  • well there are mixed opinions but i do prefer the 747-8 to the a380

  • Me too mate...i love the nose on all boeings...beautiful hump

  • i mean the 747 EVOLVED, lol!!!!

  • the 747 has revolved..beautifully..a very clever way to stretch the plane....rather than doing full length upper deck. after all its the "hump" - that gives the signature look for the 747, an indentity all its own. great job Boeing.

  • yes and if i was boeing i wouldnt change it i would make a whole new plane with a full 2 decks the 747 just rocks

  • 747-8 is gonna be an amazing plane.

  • yeah i really will love to fly on that

  • These idiots on Boeing don't know why people prefer to sit on an 747 than any other plane when there was no A380. It was because they felt like they were in the best and biggest luxurious commercial aircraft in the world. Now that the A380 has come these idiots still don't know what to do to compete except make some unnoticeable changes. If they want people to keep what the 747 was before the A380 defeated it, then they should finally complete the upper hump into a double deck.

  • no they cant cause they donnot have the brains to complete the hump

  • very ugly like the 787

  • cool

  • what is the song?

  • its called

    Paralyzer by Finger eleven

  • guys this a dreamliner(747-8) not a whale(A380)

  • yeah it would look less whaley if it was longer

  • the classic airframe of the 747 is less whalely than the A380,

  • yeah but if you look at the a380 at a certain angle it looks amazing and the front view looks good as well but obv not as nice as the 747

  • the 747-8 looks amazing from all angles.

  • I argee with you. Boeing 747 is ROCK!

  • Yep. the A380 is a fat ugly whale

  • its not that bad it is d only airbus thing that is satisfactory. plus, it depends on the airline

  • i love this than A380

  • im undecided now but it looks a hell of a lot longer than the a380 when in fact its bout 20ft longer ish

  • Boring - give me the A380....and Concorde

  • he would not give you whales and rockets that only go down

  • 747-8 is encredible!!!!

i always fly with lufthansa from brasil to germany i hope they will fly with it on this route!

  • yeah that would be cool

  • cool

  • Very beautiful plane!

  • yes u agree

  • Great video !

  • thanks
