hey i was wondering how did u actually make it shake at the amount you did with the wiggler when i tried its all over the place please get back to me on this
hello Mr. Tommygunfeth. I like the image quality of this video. it seems to be like a holywood music video. what did you edit it with and what changes did you bring on it to get this final imaging result? is it 24p ? or the flavor of the image is given by the camera? i see is a dvx100a-does it really matter the camera used to get to this image? i have a sony hvr-sr11e,full HD. i was wondering i could get the same picture quality and frame rate in vegas 8 or after effects.thanks
Always when I shoot want slowmotion I shoot 50i not 25p (PAL).
And then I bring it to After Effects and slow it down by 200%.
I don't know if you can get the same colors etc with that camera, I haven't really tried it. But I have also color corrected this. So this isn't "straight out of the camera".
And I'm not sure if you can get slowmoiton as smooth as this with vegas.. I think you need Shake or After Effects or something.
OK, so you didn't use the 24 frame, you used 50i? And when you are referring to the slow motion in 200, it's the software right? Nice color correction.
And inside the software: Adobe After Effects.. I just right-clicked the footage layer and clicked on "time stretch". And there you slow it down 200%..
this is the dvx 100a right? what would you recommend for a low budget production, that I buy a DVX, which I think is good enough for now and start with the production and later one buy a hd or wait longer and buy a HD one.
Well, the DVX is getting a bit old, but it's still a really, really great camera.. Now I don't know what you mean by "HD one". But the HVX200 to panasonicisa great camera.. it costs about twice as much as the DVX.. but.. I mean.. yeah.. Both are great... if you can wait.. then I would maybe say wait..
well shot. nice suit. good dancing. Horrible 'song'. drum machines have No SouL.

I made the wiggle shot in one comp... then I put that over the comp with no wiggle.. then I just key'ed the opacity 0%-100%-0% over a few frames :)

hey love the video did you use a steady cam and slow motion from in the camera setings or did you use software cause it looks so fluid and smooth

Hi there, thank you:)
No steadicam was used. I used just had my camera mounted on my tripod and I held the tripod as steady as I could sort of.
And I can't make slowmotion in-camera so I used after effects for that.

Hur gjorde du wiggleeffekten?
Medicinee 3 years ago
med wiggle tool i after effects:)
tommygunfeth 3 years ago
hej, använde du många wiggles? jag hittar fler än en wiggle ^^ (sry, nybörjare)
Medicinee 3 years ago
Altså det jeg gjorde var ganske enkelt egentlig.
Jeg hadde to layers..

Is this shooting at 60i scene file 6? What shutter speed did you shoot, and what percentage playback?
hurleybmx710 3 years ago
well I shoot 50i cause I live in a PAL based country.
The shutter should be at 1/120.. that goes for both of us..
I slow down 200%... (or 50% depending on how you look at it)
