  • Vinyl for ever!!'

  • 0:43 There is no digital sound lol, It couldnt sound anymore digital.. Obviously you have never played records or heard one?

  • if you have pioneer why would u ever buy denon or technics....

  • How about you get an actual turntable like the sl1200 and serato, there is no distortion there...become a real dj lol

  • you have a nice range of decks there and your mixing usher...oh dear....MR MAINSTREAM

  • Kenwood has the best sound from all of them I would definitly if i was a DJ choose the kenwood

  • @MrDemilord kenwood what you on about there is no kenwood there...denon, pioneer, and technics

  • @jahshaggy Oops Denon I mean

  • It's no defect it's digital. They all sound like video games to me when he scratches. The Techs were the worst sounding of the 3 though.

  • Is it possible that you or whoever made this just got a bad one of these and that distortion is just a factory defect? or does this happen with all of them?

  • whats the song

  • @shipwreck911 dude my grandma probably know that song WTFu wanna be a dj or your watching a dj video and dont know that song weird

  • what a row

  • so get vinyl and a technics 1210 idiot.

  • This is not intended as a dig at anyone but was that an OEM cd, what format was you playing the tunes from, if mp3 was it in 320 kbps @ a sample rate of 44100 Hz or lower or joint stereo ? . check all of your mp3's if that is the case, for best Quality thay all should be in the following: . Max Bandwidth= 22050 CBR= 320 KBPS (NOT VBR) Sample Rate @ 44100Hz Fast Codec H.Q None Joint Stereo Field . enjoy...
  • Holy censored comment section. People are allowed to rip on some vinyl purist, and none of his responses can be seen. The rule of criticism is: if you can't take it, don't give it

  • @semtek909 You can't rip on vinyl. First of all digital is very forgiving and allows the mediocre to sound like gods (Ha 'God is a DJ' lol). You don't have to play by ear or worry about how heavy you pet the plates etc. Any real jock will tell you vinyl sounds warmer, better and takes a little more technical skill but the advantages with digital makes it practical.

  • Good evening

Please let me know the title of this music.

  • and btw read the manual on the technics

  • technics look the best.

  • Hum, i come, i watch, i laugh and u sck

  • cds suck

  • I think there is a button to that disables key lock while scratching....

  • i would burgularize him for those

  • Cons

It takes a wee bit long – up to 8 seconds – to load a CD track

The DJ cannot scratch when the pitch lock is on

  • makes me laugh when i see idiots complain about people using cdj`s. obviously they`ve never used cdj`s in their lives, as there isn`t really much difference when it comes to dj`ing with vinyls or cd`s.

although, vinyl`s are heavier to carry around and are way more expensive. if they get damaged, or lost it`s harder to find replacements.

cd`s you can burn off as many copies as you want, you can carry around far more music and gives you far more choice of music when gigging.

  • @plotyourdownfall ive used both i still perfer vinyl to cdj anyday but i agree with the weight of vinyl and how expensive it is

  • @plotyourdownfall HUGE DIFFERENCE

  • Technics needs to stick with analogs. So disappointed that Panasonic decided to drop em altogether. R.I.P. SL-1200s

  • ttoal fail for you take this video down

  • those SL-DZ1200 turntables are awsome and rock solid, greatly disapointed that not many of them were made :(

  • @Glassball, sas1609, MrKtiger

So recently I was djing this party in Oakland and the host said he had a friend who wanted to "DJ" so I said sure and left the room for a minute. When I got back he had his computer connected to my system and he was steaming YouTube videos.......

You guys remind me of that "DJ"

  • thanks for the info !!! i can see the difference between technics and pioneer damn i undestand why technics is dead ..

  • Thanks For The Info.

    I Like your 3 Demo's Thanks Again,

    Dj-Ric-Derr-C

  • @djbisho yesz all DJ'S shuld know that

@Glassball i still know a few DJ'S with those technics and they are still bad ass

  • nothing wrong with using CDJs, at least your mixing and not using a MIDI computer like a lot of these frauds

  • Pioneer WINS!!

    GREAT VID!!!!

  • If you see it again it does sound ok as long as you dont press the pitch lock button. when you first scratch the technics is was ok, then you hit the button and it was distorted, but then you took it off and was ok again. That button is not nessesary anyway if your a true blender you dont need the lock button. All 3 are good. My personal favorite are the Denon.

  • lmao 'video games anyone'

  • thats dissapointing seeing as how great technics sl 1200s are

  • where can i find these things still?

  • u need firmware upgrade 2.3

  • @peopleschamp05, that update still didn't fix the key lock issue while scratching from what I was told. That is a hardware issue limitation with the DZ deck.

  • this guy is an idiot......dude youve obviously got the settings wrong lol go watch some of the movies on youtube of people ripping it up with these lol, you are so dumb. you really are so dumb. lol. theres probably a button that says vinyl just like on the cdj's :)

  • why thank you....I am a dubstep lover! :)

  • SL-DZ1200 ARE MADE FOR MIXING NOT SCRATCHING . REAL D.J. SCRATCH MASTERS ONLY USE TECHNICS 1200'S MK2'S. LIKE MY HOMIE TONY G A REAL OG SCRATCH MASTER, FOO!!!

  • now THAT'S a bonner killer

  • This video was made by Denon's Forum poster ' DJ -AL' who died of something a couple of months ago. I think he was the one who promoted this hate between all the denon vs pioneer shit. Peace.

  • You stupid moron!! idk why the hell you posted it but you're a complete idiot....tell whoever made this video to learn from a real dj such as myself!

  • seriously dude... comparing Pioneer to Technics?

  • that technics sounds better to me..like unpredictable...musical..the others just do the usual robot scratch

  • turn the vinyl sim on, dumbass...

  • dude that sounds so good

    /sarcasm

  • Dude, do you work for pioneer or denon ? vinyl sim is off and you are trying to hide it on the top right corner,if you turned it on you would see that real dj use Technics.the OG.

  • Further ruining an already ruined "song."

  • Technics is no longer being produced as of Feb. 2011. Ive never seen these sl-dz's before. Are these being made or are they technics last Hoo-rah ?

  • REALLY????????????/

  • Please get that awful tune off!

  • The idea of the video was to show the differences in 3 products. It's not a scratching routine.

  • @DjDialogic lol, sorry.. i have never replied to anyone for this video, but you just made me laugh too hard. I'll ignore the fact that you did not read the description of this video (that it was not made by me). Get some what? vynil? Lern 2 spel *facepalm*.

  • @Glassball

    Lol.... "lern" to spel :P

You mean Learn how to spell?

But anyways... Get a life DjDialogic... You are a wannabe DJ for saying you're not a dj if you're using CD... Almost every DJ who makes DJ's for a living is working with CD's. So just shut the fuck up,, get your ass off of Youtube, and go google DJ stuff!!

    Good luck.

  • @Glassball

    Spell* learn to spell -_-

  • @DjDialogic i want to ask the most noob question ever.........but when your using vinyl.......the music isn't actually written on the vinyl is it? like the vinyl is just a control surface right? or is the music actually on the vinyl? lol ~ noob that doesn't know shit..

  • @ThEMiKeMFjOnEs

The actual sound waves are pressed into the vinyl. The needle is then dragged over those impressions and amplified. With CDs it's just a bunch of binary code converted to simulated music. Vinyl is best. CD Dj's are just kids playing with toys their parents bought them. I've even cought some of them using my Mix CDs (mixed by vynil and recorded onto CDs) as their own during performances.

All these whack djs know I'm right. They probably have DJ apts on their Iphone too.

  • @DjDialogic Epic fail.....

  • @DjDialogic

oh...you should try this if you ever get your hands on some vinyl. Get a pin and then attach a paper cone to the top to act as a sound amplifier. The get a pen and stick it in the middle of the record to turn it. Then place the pointy end in on of the grooves and then just spin the record and listen to what comes out.

  • @DjDialogic dude stop being a tool, lots of the top dj's in the world use cdj's.. go f*ck yourself

  • @1pokerknight tiesto's on vinyls and cdjs :P hehehehe

  • @VinceCheong ya it's like any real dj has an appreciate for both

  • @DjDialogic

I been DJin since 1997 on Vynil only. All you CD and computer djs only prove me right. Go get a Mac book and a Computer science degree. Then you can pretend to be ass cool as a vinyl killer like me.

  • @DjDialogic Vinyl not vynil

  • @DjDialogic i totally agree. and if the guy says he didnt make the video, then tell the guy he should get some vinyl because cdj tables arnt meant for scratching

  • @bassgeek388, you said "cdj tables arnt meant for scratching". Really? Scope this video and others like it. watch?v=MXdVnDVjSL8 If that dosn't work, just search for "Dubstep Turntablism" by UK DMC Champion JFB.

  • @DjDialogic Well apreantly your not a Dj either. or you wouldn't be shit talking show some respect it wasn't about skill it was just a demo. and if you think using cd's is some how cheating i wanna know why? there is no magic button on cdj's. its the same technique, this was just a demo. Chears.

  • @DjDialogic I dont see any harm in CD DJ-s...

  • @DjDialogic here pal the guy was not dj ing you dumb fuck he was showin how the technics cdjs are pish i bet you cant dj lmfao

  • @DjDialogic the point of this video isn't for this guy to show off his/her scratching. Just to show how unfortunate the CDJ Technic distorts sound when manipulating the "vinyl."

  • @DjDialogic Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! U're so funny! Your not a dj xd Do you think we MUST have vinyl to be a dj? :d

  • user error.

  • Technics are always the best

  • HAHAHA what an idiot

there is a button on the top right of Sl 1200DZ

    "VINYL SIM"

    Try turning that on

    HAHAHAHAHA

  • @dswan402 loool ye, i wacht the video a laugh a lot, someone forget to read the manual...

  • @dswan402 its ready in vinyl mode.

  • @dswan402 seriously right! dude making the video didn't even read the manual or the turntable for that matter

  • I never liked this song probably the only song I don't like from usher..how do some people not know the song? It's so popular

  • LOL you just dont know how to use these guys...

  • OMG GIVE THOSE TABLES TO SOMEONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO USE THEM PLEASE!!!!!

  • The most highly annoying song ever created...

  • i don`t know i think technics are still good you can use filters instead being annoying on them ... thecnics are being unmodified still on the track ... denon and pioneers are full digital different marketing plan that is all ... nothing else to say ain`t no dj at all but still would buy the Technics SL-DZ1200 ... for the first , sorry if my comment were disappointing you that`s how i feel ...

  • you are very good at scratching !!!!!

    :-)

  • wow! could some one tell me the name of the track playing, its totally awesome! i must get it!

  • @pudanny Usher - yeah

  • Lmfao. 

  • Try switching the vinyl simulation butten onto cd simulation....No feedback.

  • this is great. aliasing and digital distortion rules!

  • GOD DAMN RETARD YOU NEED THE FIRMWARE UPDATE FOR SCRATCHING ADERR!

  • Original vs Copycats. Pro's use the best, not imitations 1200 is # 1

  • if technics finds out dude, they're gonna murder your entire generation

  • Us house DJ's don't rely on scratching / tricks anyway . My 2 DZ 1200's purchased 2n'd owner (Mint ) no probs still 5 yrs strong . Agree W/ Almighty about beat matching & crossfader . The fact that the CORNIEST TRACK FROM USHER IS USED ON THE VIDEO SPEAKS VOLUMES !

  • I have to admit, I learned something to watch out for.

  • There is a huge diffrence in price between the tech and the CD's to be fair.

  • its a shame that these babies are discontinued.

  • Soundlab Belt Drives Are The Way Forward!

  • Comment removed

  • ha ha ha - I can't believe these people comparing the sound of a circular plastic disc to digital quality sound..... yall need to get with the times and let the 70's and 80's go man - fa real!

  • @BorrowedCactus

perdona por responderte en español.se nota que no sabes nada .informate mejor.

  • @BorrowedCactus your taking the piss right ? a concise, perfect recording of sound versus some digital re-creation of it ? the purpose of digital is to get as close to vinyl sound wise as possible, and if it had suceeded, no one would mix records anymore.

  • too bad, they are beautiful, more so than the pioneers

  • fuck this video is like getting a fucking pineapple ramed in my ass

  • Stick with the 1210's. Tried & Tested still going strong after 30yrs!

  • if the rumors are true - and sadly it doesnt look good - thanks to all those microwave digital djs buying digital kindergarten crap......

    no more 1200s.

    tinyurl DOT com/2vflpe9

  • @fipsfoxy It's no longer a rumor, it's confirmed

  • @OZPerpetue they still did not post any confirmation on their official sites and i can't find any new credible sources regarding this, but i'm prepared. this time (we all know these rumors have been out since years) it looks really really bad. but still, i got my fingers crossed :)

sadly prices nearly doubled here. standard mk2 prices now are almost as high as buying a GOLD edition some years ago. arrr

  • @fipsfoxy Well, unfortunately it is true, here is the official letter: studio-lights (dot) com/blog/technics-discontinued-1200-turntable.htm and not only that, but on the panasonic website none of the tt's are in stock, prices where I live have also doubled, its so sad they discontinued, they truly were, and still are incomparable with anything else

  • @OZPerpetue yeah :/ crap

  • @OZPerpetue i also heard they were discontinued about a week after i got my pair for £400 in pristine condition 2nd hand,

    so its true :'(

  • stop usein cd fag

  • @Ixplick117 what a dickhead

  • when digital sounds the same if not better than analog then i will bow down, but until then anything that is not vinyl sounds like digital distortion. although cdj's have gotten alot better about not sounding like crap :P.

  • if you play vinyl, use technics sl1200's, if you play cd's pioneer or denon... we all knew that didnt we?

  • @djbisho exactly!

  • @djbisho exactly!

  • @djbisho And Water is wet.

  • @TheMadisonHang

and so is the tip of a cock.

  • I have a set of 1210 MK2s and a pioneer djm 909. Oh yea I got a couple of corned that need service hoe

  • Hey djpio what the fuck are you in my house how the fuck would know if I don't have technics. Guess what hoe I do that's how I learned how to mix and scratch. Get yo ass back on the corner where you belong and get my money and never challenge BIg Daddy

  • Fuck off you punk ass sheep!!! The only thing this shitty video was useful for was helping to destroy technics. I have a set and no there is no digital distortion! Fuck you technics is the 1 and only! Don't try and resist getting a set in fact the harder you try and ignore by resisting the likely it you will fail and get a set! Peace

  • @Chitownzson

fuck sldz1200 i use 1210m5g wich is way better for scratching wich u obviously don´t know shit about cunt

  • @djpio707 what's knowing about cunt have to do with djing"

  • dude u dont even know how to scratch

  • tbh, pioneer is WAYYYYY too damn expensive. theyre like every other CDJ but +$500.

the Numark ones, i think VS7, are amazing. I dont hav them but i tried them and theyre awesome.

    im sticking with vinyl tho:D

  • @TH3xM3DIC

the vs7 is a controller so u need a laptop for it so ur depending on a hardrive

as a scratch dj myself i choose sl1210m5g asthe ultimate deck

  • i wudnt realy mind id just b GR8FUL id hav 1

  • comes pre circuit bent ;)

  • lesson learnt... pioneer rules ;D

  • awesome :D

  • what is the song ?

  • @MRAlexchilton Usher - Yeah

  • im glad u showed this, i ams so glad u showed this, thanks alot......

  • Defcreator your another hater (WITH NO VIDEOS) People are starting to find out the truth sorry buddy.

  • @mattluvsvox921 EXACTLY.

  • Its completely RIDICULOUS how many of you believed a video by a guy who was paid by pioneer to use a low quality bit sample to bash these turntables.

If you own a pair you know their the best. Fortunately I don't LISTEN to OTHER people and have my own mind.

  • @mixterious12345 you DO realise that he's not being paid for this, and he said the denon was just as good as the pioneer.

  • @mixterious12345

the guy that made this vid died,so did the sl-dz1200

    i own a sl1210m5g that´s the best.

  • buy a pair of turntables and you wont have this problem even if you use scratch live

  • @mattluvsvox921 They're still excellent cd players though dude!

  • @mattluvsvox921 Why? lol

  • Viynl and Dn-s3500 owns

  • OK, used the technocs for almost a year. But if you think clearly, the technics handles the pitch-lock as it is supposed. No changes is pitch what so ever. The pitch is ment to adjust speed without having a higher or lower pitch, as the pioneer and denon do. This can only be reached by a algorythm that chops every audio frame into pieces and plays the frame apart with a space in between. This space between each frame depends on the speed of playing. This causes the "disortion sound". So it see

  • deswegen hat technics den auch aus dem verkehr gezogen gut zu wissen

aber bei vinyl sind se ungeschlagen ^^

  • i kinda like the digital distortion and the pitch-lock.. it's more unique, why solely imitate vinyl? it's digital, why not use it as a digital tool? don't be afraid to stand out from the crowd, I'm sure there's way's to use it to your advantage.

  • @NickBlackDIN yeah. I'm thinkin',,,,,,,Make It Work....

  • lol.....

  • Whats The Song?

  • @catman7771 Yeah by usher and luducris and lil john

  • the scratch sound that bad

  • Great Vid. I notice you have either DNX-900 OR X-500 Mixer next to it. So a great setup all round. =D

  • @DJStormForce27 its not his .. read the description!

  • Technics = Eletro

    Denon = Hip Hop

  • wow. distortion on technics is really bad

  • Just keep playin your cd's pal. Leaves more vinyl for the real d.j's.

  • @jayhunter100 haha joker i love all this vinyl is for real djs bullshit u know what i spin vinyl and cds yeah i agree that vinyl has and always will have the better sound but when playing out if im doing a set 5-8 hrs fuck carrying that much vinyl with me where a few cd wallets means i can carry more music and diffrent types of genre

  • Just use vinyl. Problem solved.

  • thank u soooooooo very much for this vid, i guess it's Technics 1200MK2 or no T
