  • You turned that ,into a pond ,that was already there . AND I'm glad you have time to take pictures, or have them taken. Because when I work, I don't have time for that.. And also I still like the hoe man , that can't get it.

  • I like alack of machines, AND especially pushing with the top of the bucket of a piece of shit backhoe.

  • @dozerman8114 Must be why we didn't finnish it eh? Lets se some of your videos before you critisize too much? Better yet when you get as many subscribers as me you can critisize.....But really, you can't put up videos if you don't want to see someone critisize you so it's fine,,,thanks for watching come back and visit my channel again:)

  • very good

  • And for what it's worth I'd rather be in the seat myself.

  • I didn't mean to strike a nerve man, I've worked with Army Corps too...one time they told me they don't have engineers except on the big river and dam projects. They act like it too-they get goofy. I only asked about soil and water because I used to work for one and we did engineering on agricultural ponds and projects is all, I'm gonna stop poking the hornets nest now.

  • Was this an engineered job or wingin it? Do you work much down there with NRCS or soil and water districts?

  • @hokiesmokes I garantee I know more about dams, dam soil types, dam construction, dam hydraulics and what wil work and what wont around here than any one sitting in some office!I need to do a slide show on all of my dam, pond and dam repair projects! I have repaired dams for the " big contractors " around here when they tried and it blew out on them. Its not hard but it has to be done right with the right technique for the situatin and soil type! But I have worked with the Corps of engineers.

  • @hokiesmokes One job with the Corps of Engineers that comes to mind was 16 years ago. About a 100 acre lake with a 900 foot earthen damn with 270 feet of sheet pilings of which I personally drove each and every one! The only thing the Corps was worried about was leaving some trees standing in the flood area because " This is a new bodie of water and birds will not be able to fly accross it with out resting, they would fall in and drown" !!

  • @hokiesmokes I laghed at him and asked him if he realized that birds migrated thousands of miles from Canada to South America! They told me that I couldn't talk to them like that or with that tone in my voice! What a joke! I have learned since then how to be a social engeneer with them to get what you want. Tell them how great they are , how much they know and how envious you are of thier great position of importance. Tell them you really need thier help because you don't know as much as them!

  • Awsome work! and equipment

  • @casefan14 Thank you! We love what we do! And we try to keep our old worn out junk in as good shape as possible?

  • @copperheadmarine

sound just like us. were trying to keep our old 1979 ford louisville with a cat under the hood alive! The truck just won't give up

  • Once again another fine video

  • Is the the same dump truck as the one in your other videos, I notice the box on this one is different.

  • Well, lets try this for the third time. I don't know what is happening to my replies?

But...These photos are several years old. That was the origional bed. I replaced it with a Magna demo bed with a two way tail gate. Standard dump or barn door. A standard bed is 40,000 lb to 60,000 lb yield steel. This bed is 200,000 lb yiels steel, like spring steel, you cannot dent it. We replaced it the same or the next year after these photos.

  • Nice backhoe, is that an old Case 580K 2wheel drive? We have one that is 4wd and also a 1996 590 Super Turbo, Both great machienes just the Brakes lock up if you use them on the 580 i think it has to do with the diferential to be honest with you, nice work

  • Yeah, it is supposed to be a 1993 model. I have owned it for 10 years. I dont use it much, I think I have put about 4000 hrs on it. my breaks have always worked fine. I rebuilt the shuttle a few years ago on a Saturday and put a new torque in it. The turn signals and break lights have never worked and I have never found why? the lights and the rest of the electrical work just not the signals and BK lights.

  • hmm yea.. it typical when you have trucks that old, we run our equipment into the ground, but like the worst problems we have are electrical problems

  • do you contract your truck out by the hour? got a little project going in lake view off road

  • I have been known to do almost anything!

Give me a call or come by the old Merita bread place in Dillon, we are doing all the site work for the New Carolina Eastern Fertilizer plant. 845 2090

  • Great vid and work! Beautiful country there.

  • That thumb on your 215 would annoy the shit out of me, don't you ever pull it up when just dirt hogging?

  • I used to when I ran it all the time. Rick the operator says its just as easy to leave it alone. He has been with me since 01'. If we are loading trucks or working a long slope we fold it.

  • never seen a backhoe used as a dozer like that lol... wearing all my paint of the top of the bucket!

  • haha i was thinking the same thing. it needs a cutting edge up there

  • I have seen a 426 Cat with 3 cutting edges on a bucket. Can you tell me where they wre at?

  • Supposed to push with a loader or a backhoe with the bucket in the level to dig position, just leaving th edirt in the bucket until the last push. But in that sand wit a 2 WD back hoe you had to dump the bucket every time. So it was easier to push that way. The engine was out of the TD-8.
