This brings back memories... Central was one of the English regions to keep showing this the longest (until within a couple of years of the end, I think) and I used to find it very enjoyable. A bit less so after it copied every other soap in existence and went "younger", since I think there is a place for an old-fashioned, gentler-paced soap that isn't obsessed with "gritty realism". Of course, I'm old-fashioned too...
