Wanchaiss is right...what u saw was from Yangon. Most of the destruction happened with the tidal wave and floods, not the wind and rain. Flooded area 500 times the size of Katrina. Township after township, 90% destroyed. No exaggeration. Over a million dead is not an exaggeration at all. Goes to prove the absolute stupidity of the Burmese Generals.

Burmese government hiding the fact that half a million are already dead. 80K dead in Labutta township alone, cyclone hit an area with a few hundred townships. Most areas still underwater. I have read another info from anonymous witness in Burma that the military annonced on the radio they will deliver aid only to people supporting their constitution. Disgusting if this is truth, which would not be surprising from these people.
