@francescolol Ive had ingrowing toe nails since i was 11 months old i had a Permanent one when i was 8 and i only had it treated when i was 15, it hasnt become ingrown again, a year later my other big toe Get a double ingrowing toenail, i had it completely removed, and the new nail that grew back, grew straight back to where the old one was so i still have an in growing toe nail :(

you are supposed to soak it in warm water and then do what i did. apply pressure and give it a good yank, its a pain less way.

Yeah, don't do that.

You just need to rinse it off with water to clean it up a bit, then just wrap it up again. As long as you keep it covered it won't get infected.

I had to get the surgery done too, I wasn"t aloud to look, beacase I might of panicked, but halfway they took a pic for me, he had two, what looked like shiskabob sticks on either sides of the toe, fuckin weird

they out the bandage on mine on sooooooo tight and they packed it in very deep... from all the pain i got... it took 4 hours to get it off! and now it stopped bleeding but i cant walk :(

@MydeeEmily That is not completely proven yet. Most studies simply suggest that it removes bacteria and dead skin cells.

@MydeeEmily yeha, NEVER use hydrogen peroxide on large wounds like that. If it gets into your blood it can do more harm than good. You should always use warm water to loosen stuck on bandages.

yea, two years with two surgeries and just last week, he called back from college and said it was getting bad again so i think this time the doctors will just remove the whole nail. moral of the story: dont cut your nails too short

Yeah that sucks. I haven't had problems after my first removal but they actually burned away the nerves that grew the nail so it didnt grow on that side anymore. See if there burning the side of the nail down by the nerves. I don't think they are because it wouldn't grow back if they did that.

Make sure its not just the stuff liquid they put inside of the ingrown part. Make sure its like a lighter type thing.

@terran0860 it depends on the doctor... i have a couple of these done and each time they do the same thing .. burn the sides nerves and they tell me they wont grow back ..but sure enough a couple months later... i feel it again.. its gotten to the point where i dont bother goin n e more cause the injections friggin hurt ..
