It was made in 1973, and unlike the Apple I, it had a mouse, GUI, laser printer, 3MBPS ethernet...things nobody else would even dream of until 10 years later when Xerox took Steve Jobs on a tour of their lab. Look it up. Alan Kay and his colleagues at Xerox PARC defined the digital age we live in. Apple and Microsoft just slapped a price tag on it.

The idea of the PC was thought of before Apple even existed, and it was actually Xerox that convinced Steve Jobs with the Alto that a graphics based interface was the way to go.

The Woz rocks. It may be that Jobs has proved to be the great visionary and Woz's computer might have lead nowhere if it wasn't for Jobs making Woz make it in a certain way that would appeal to consumers, but in the end Jobs would have been nothing without Woz's great insight that the PC needed to be wedded to a TV monitor and have a keyboard, Before Woz PC's were just a box of parts for a geek to assemble and the interface was just a few blinking lights. His insight has changed the world.
