  • Its jackie chan!

  • WHAT IS YOUR BOARD SIZE? WHAT IS YOUR WEIGHT AND SAIL?

  • @bhgvh3 it doesnt realy matter! Jou can do chop hop with almost aney board or sail, well its easyer with freeride or freestyle so not too big like slalom or race.

  • what sail is that? everyone has them?

  • Dude i think this is the best tutorial in you tube... BUT IT IS IN JAP... T_T

  • When did he jump?

  • @northwarp123 he does one right at the end dude

  • Japan Style rocks! Relaxed music, detailed instructions, simply cool!

  • Why Japenese?

  • He has the JP-Australia Freestyle-Board. It has very good planning-performance ?!

  • Planning performance? Yeah maybe 3 years ago @GAPphp

  • @GAPphp I have a JP Freestyle 101 from 2004. Excellent planing performance. Very loose on the water. Brilliant for carving and jibes.

  • R you japanese?? Where do you go for surfing?

  • boooooring !

  • massa tow entendendo tudo no video !! =]

  • mate this is a shit jump you need to tuck you legs up higher otherewise your just vertical. showing the wrong parts of the board to the wind, making it easier for bad landings and spin outs.

  • hey do u know how to jump?

cuz well i just learned windsurfing and well see when you jump won't your legs move off the board?

  • u need to be in the foot straps ideally its easiest .. however you can still jump out of the foot straps .. but as u say it requires curling your toes and gripping hand with your feet and staying inboard (or just get in the foot straps and go really fast over a wave ^_^)

  • haha i see we dont have huge waves here in singapore xD! and well its not really possible to skim over the water surface like in this condition or maybe because im using the beginner's sail.

  • i would be supprised i spend most of the year in the UK .. :) so thats hardly Hawaii is it hehe. It all depends on how strong the wind is- the size of your board - how big the sail is - Fin size and lastly the sailer :) so im sure the more time u spend on the water the more u will be wanting to go out in stormyer conditions ^_^ to go faster. just dont go out if u dont think you are good enough work up to it slowly and always windsurf with a friend and not in thunder and lightnin obviously lol

  • LOL!!! yea my instructor loves going out to sea in a storm. but i guess i'll practice more. quite expensive for the rentals though

  • buy board then £400 cheep board £150 sail go for a 5.5 is a good all round sail to have in your quiver

  • haha im only 16. needa work to buy my own personal stuff X: so i guess it working for rentals atm

  • @ShoalinPunk £400 is not a cheap board. I picked up a 112 Bic Techno 2 months ago for £60.

  • @ShoalinPunk u do NOT have to be hooked in to do a front loop ,watch this movie on youtube ( Front loop DVD trailer ) at 3:00 u'll see. For those who would like to jump just go fast(planing) get in to your footstraps unhook and when you think you're ready suddenly give massive back foot pressure and pull up ur front foot that's al it takes, it also helps when you press with ur toes as ur board will catch wind and jump.

  • @maxeyem kk my bad I can only do it hooked in though I find it easier

  • its not that hard to jump

  • is it the same kinda technique you would use to olly on a skateboard or snowboard ?

  • @MrWindsurfguy its landing thats always interesting :)

  • true true but when you get it right it gives you a good feeling

  • you go higher if you stay hooked in.

  • not true

  • @SFStinky is this true .? i always get more height out of the harness 0_O ? if it is true i will true more jumps in the harness ..i only stay hooked in to do front loops interesting : )

  • It's a very good video to learn to jump

  • 1) unhook

    2) Crouch a little

    3) Push off with your back foot as hard as you can

    4) Lift with your arms

    5) bring up your back foot and extend your toes

    Love it :)

  • 6) bring your heels under your bum lifting the board up keeping it flat

  • actually u dont have to unhook to perform a jump (for example a front loop requires you to be in the air hooked in) kinda like a cool catapult but in the air :P

  • Comment removed

  • go fast point at steep wave

  • salto

  • That is JP freestyle 2007 pro edition, I have the same one :)

  • wat board he on?

  • what is there to learn ? just push the boom towards you while holding pressure on the backfoot..!

  • its also important to lift your front foot to guide the board into the air.

  • :( subtitles doesn't help maybe some one can read it in eng :)

  • English would be much better

  • It's a very good video to learn to jump. The problem is that the subtitles are in japanese (o chinese)
