  • So excited. i was training for a sport pilots license but after many weeks of thought i knew i had to switch to a private pilots certificate. My first flight in a skyhawk will be today at 2 oclock! I am so excited. Im training at PPO. A nice small town airport in La Porte, IN. God i cant wait!!

  • @ilikewendysthebest Well i think you made the right choice to go with a PPL. I hope your flight yesterday was awesome.

  • Enjoyed that

  • @kubleo121 Thanks

  • I'm flying to Palomar airport today with my instructor on a C172 G1000. I'm hoping the weather clears!!!

  • @evilhendrix2 i hope it went well, any day flying is better than not.

  • Did I hear her say this one has ac? Thats pretty unusual for a 172 especially considering there were 3 of you. Nice video though!

  • @goingtobeapilot Yes it does have A/C, we didn't turn it on until after takeoff.

  • @iflightsim Wow thats awesome! what a beautiful airplane

  • the plane looks really kool cant wait to start flight school

  • @MegaHighflyer10 good luck with school.

  • NICE TD !

  • CHUCK WOULD FLY THE MILE WITH HER.

  • Starting flight school next year and will be learning in this plane. It's exciting watching these videos. I'm 32 and wish I signed up 10 years ago. Oh well

  • @Rawr5649 I hear ya. I wish I had too.

  • A woman flying a plane? Now I've seen everything.

    :P

  • @ADSLISKEWL Stupid comment.

  • @ADSLISKEWL LOL

  • great thing about those cute petite cfis is that you have way more cabin space than when flying with a smelly 200 pounder male cfi.

  • in this day and age, by the time i'm flying a lot more light aircraft will have this. I mean, I'm still only a teen, but when I fly in flight sim I can't even survive without a FMS!

  • she says 5 qts of oil minimum, thats a bit wrong it should be 6 qts minimum 8 max for safety.

  • @djluigisantos No... basicly she's quoting the POH. Cessna poh says that Miminum in the oil tank you should have 5. If you'd like to make a safety margin its up to you. You can even move it up to 7 if you wish,no biggie

  • nice facilities. i really want to fly a plane with the g1000 system in it.

  • @Insanity714 It is truely awesome.

  • Depending on place. Faa doesnt care

  • @iflightsim PIC stands for pilot in command. (your instructor in this case) and to answer the ? No the CP/ learner is always on the left

  • @TheMudder45 Tx mudder.

  • great video. I remember my first intro flight in one of these, very memorable.

  • niceeeee, i will fly!

  • Love this! Great job, this plane is my dream plane :) working on my PPL now, will be up in the air within weeks... can't wait !

  • @Daniel7681 I know I love this plane. My dad used to have a 1982 172 and I should have used that to my advantage and got my PPL back then but he got rid of it and now I have to rent. That SUCKS!!!! Good luck on your PPL, I'm working on mine too.

  • what was that noise just before touchdown, sort of a whineing noise?

  • @studog229 That's the stall horn. Very normal on a good landing.

  • iam looking for a good instructor in israel

  • @sam9524 Good luck. I hope all works out for you.

  • @cputampa Thanks Man .

  • Hey that's my chief flight instructor Kristy

  • @garciajoel1 Kristy was great. I highly recommend everyone go fly with her down at Atlis.

  • Doesnt the PIC have to be on the left?

  • @bajesus666 nope. The FAA does not care what seat the PIC sits in (as long as they can manipulate the controls) Some FLIGHT SCHOOLS care.. but not the FAR's

  • @edmlevine oh xD, thanks

  • got my license this year, love this plane !

  • @HansensUniverse Congratulations! That's great. I've been planning on this year for mine but so far been to busy. Someday.

  • @HansensUniverse Congrats.

  • @iflightsim thank you :)

  • I've flown this aircraft before. KTPF is my home base.

  • @dearthpanda That is a great plane. I love the fact that it has A/C.

  • Awesome Video, Thats the cessna I fly in nyc . I love that skyhawk

  • 4:05 STALL HORN SINK RATE SINK RATE PULL UP PULL UP !

  • @pacora24 lol

  • @pacora24 LOL, Do NOT pull up in a stall.

  • @dearthpanda I know i meant like if it stalled too much it would go into a nose dive then you would have to pull up thats what i meant.

  • Great video!! Gotta love Cessna Skyhawks. ;)

  • @aexmendz Thanks, I put a lot of work in the edit.

  • next time learn how to fly!!! the stall warning is horrible for my ears !!!!

  • @MrBlatjNahuj When & if you ever understanding anything about flying... the stall horn is there for your safety. It's to alert you of an upcoming stall so you can make corrections. Stick to the ground my friend.

  • @MrBlatjNahuj I love it how people think the stall horn is a bad thing. That's arm chair nonsense. Stall horn = normal.

  • Wonderful, but I prefer the simulators because of my height phobia :)

    Nice video

  • You need to try out the Cessna 208, plenty of room in one of those.

  • So, who was your CFI? Is she CFI-I as well?

  • I can't remember her name but she was great. Very knowledgeable, I'm not sure if she was a CFII.

  • @iflightsim Kristy Bolingbroke? I know she is one of the instructors at ATLAS

  • @iflightsim That looks like Kristy Bolingbroke, a flight instructor at Atlas Aviation.

  • @dearthpanda yea that's Kristine.

  • nice video, I have never heard the stall horn at 75, must have been at the weight limit, check out my videos, i have some

  • Yea we were pretty maxed out.

  • Beautiful video, awesome editing and nice flying

Seems like you guys were at max weight on a hot day, that is why the stall warning kept going off at 68-70 kts during the climb.

Just curious, what was your VSI indicating during the climb?

  • Thanks on the video comment. I'm not really sure what the VSI was because I was filming and looking all around & not at the guages.

  • Sorry, just one more question, was it bumpy that day?

  • Yea a little bumpy but not to bad. Had a hard time holding the camera steady.

  • Excellent video...

Looking forward to the new site..

    Are you a real pilot??

    Dave

  • I'm just now starting my training. Hopefully I can get it done by the end of 2010. That's my goal anyway.
