A couple years ago, I had a painfully sore throat. I finally went to a doctor. The nurse saw pustules on the back of my throat. Since I didn't have insurance, she said, "I won't even do a test for strep, since it costs extra and it's so obvious that you have it." She gave me antibiotics and said that if I had waited much longer, I would have been in serious trouble.
Was she wrong, since I didn't have a fever? The antibiotics worked.
make sure to see your primary care provider today. They will likely take a strep culture to determine whether you have it or not and what treatment you need. I hope you feel better!
