  • about the case temp, e napakaraming metal yan kaya hindi kaagad iinit, kasi sandali lang uminit pag pinutok, at sa maliit na sandaling un hindi kaya painit kagad ang ganung karaming material

  • The Cases dont get really hot.. back in WWII the Germans were Manhandling 21cm Cases barehanded...

  • thats a 76 mm not a 105.

  • @blackfean5988 No, it's a 105mm pack howitzer built by OTO Melara in the '50ies for mountain troops (Alpini). It can be divided in 12 loads which, if necesasry, can be carried by hand (in fact that was the case for Alpini unitis immediately after dismissal of pack mules, the artillerymen would carry the pieces on their own back during marches... look for oto melara mod 56

  • Ear Muff and Hand Gloves? I Think hindi uso yan sa kanila ma practices man o actual support. eh wala naman kasing ganon kadalasan ng detachment at kung mayron man, nakasanayan ng hindi gumamit nyann... i thingk hindi na talaga uso yun sa kanila...

  • Here in Argentina, it's still used in mountain and airborne artillery units. The M-56 proved to be reliable in Falklands War , and now we have about 70 M-56 in service.

    Greetings from Buenos Aires.

  • sana sing lakas ng amerika ang AFP!!!!

  • mistressczarina. walah kang alam tungkol sa military terms.. hehe

  • This is the smallest 105mm howitzer on this planet, it is old but don't under estimate it.

  • we can make our own howitzers the gov't don't really like the idea of a potent afp!

    talo at talo parin

    !

  • @gagokaano I'm sorry. There won't be any.

  • this is a very low -tech .... kumpara sa ibang bansa na mas maliit pa sa pilipinas

wala pa akong nababalitaan tungkol jan kahit kailan

  • Let's face the truth even though our beloved country Philippines is our home in a way it is also true that our economy doesn't prioritized our military. Infact most of our equipments are second hand and donations, ( remember the late c-130 cargo plane na pinaglumaan ng tate...!) masakit man pero totoo....

  • Nice!

New Zealand (161 Battery) and Australia (105 Battery) used them in South Vietnam.

  • That is the 105 Howitzer designed to be dismounted and able to be transported by men on shoulder or by mules.

It was made for the Alpini!

    Rule Italy!

  • they come from Italy: Oto Melara make them

  • I said refurbished so are these howitzers mere relics or are they still in service? what era are they from?

  • they are 50's era, used by the anzacs in vietnam and by the argentinians during the falklands, we have a captured firing example at the royal armouries fort nelson

  • Helston Gunsmiths have them in stock with full CES if you want another.

  • @UBIQUEROL Also britain used them, btw

  • that what happens when idiots don't do their homeworks.

  • No, OTO-Melara is Italian. Go read a book.

  • Ilan kaya ang HOWITZER ng MARINES(OTO-MELARA)???

  • @timawanet

NO the POINT niya siguro.. is.. walang kwenta ang 105mm.. siguro gusto niya 255 mm na Artillery lol

  • anu ngaun? bkt,my gnyan kb? cguro meron..kya lng bka laruang plastik lng..hahaha!!

  • @mistressczarina Americans still use the same shells with 105mm howitzer

  • It is not old, it's actually newer than most of the AFP's current artillery pieces. It's in service in at least 20 countries at the moment. Accurate, yes. Range, it doesn't have to shoot far considering the terrain and the way the Marines position their forces. It's a light howitzer that can be towed by a Humvee or light truck. This was only a test to determine if it works after refurbishment so don't expect rapid firing. You could pay for the rounds and they'll oblige you. PHP10K a shot.

  • @timawanet HUH! 10K per howitzer round? I mean "Really?"

  • @nicyolo I dont know about any user who has or has had a negative appraisal of the performance of the M56. Nobody judge its qualities. A small jewel between the howitzer.

  • @Tetengue

Oh.. maybe thats because Im more familiar with larger Russian ones.

anyway.. 105 mm is small for artillery..

Here in China we use at least 155mm.. around 20,000 units.

half of them are mounted on tanks

  • @nicyolo In Argentina the M56 is only in service with the mountain and airborne artillery units and with the marines. The 155 mm CITER L33 is the real artillery field gun in service with the Argentine Army.

  • @Tetengue

155mm thats good.. i really think 105mm is like.. ffffwwoooot.. then baaang

but 155mm.. its like twwwwooowww...then brraaaaabaaaaang!!

    LMAO!

    Argentine Army? better check out..

  • @nicyolo I read NORINCO in China makes an exact copy of the Oto Melara mod 56... not kidding!

The only real drawback of that howitzer is that it cannot make too long sustained fire because it is too light: OTOH you can lift it in one piece by helicopter (a Bell 205 is more than sufficient) or airdrop it. It was meant to give heavy fire support to "light" troops like Mountain infantry or airborne troops. A similar role is now covered in our army by 120mm french made mortars.

  • wow!!! ok lakas pwedeng pang bagong taon!

  • although this is an very old italian piece, but it is still very useful!

  • What are you talking about??? Katarantaduhan yang mga pinagsasabi mo and walang kwenta!! Lahat ng bansa na meron corruption di umaasenso, hence affected lahat ng aspects ng Government including the the Armed Forces!!

  • hay naku modernazition ang pilipinas. hindi mo alam yun Only in the PHilippines lang ang modernize sa CORRUPTION.

  • WHAT???? Your reply does not make any sense????

  • OMG where did you came from pluto?

  • Read you freakin' response carefully!!! And see if it make sense!!! Unless you can't speak straight tagalog or you just don't know how to put together sentences!!!

  • bobo k naman s tagalog eh

    thank you for your reply

  • Swaak...I know this response is not for me right???

  • Doodle-bombaloo to you! :D

  • wow ang astig!!! walang gloves at earplug.. parang wala lang sa kanila....is it really hot that emply shells ???

  • For your information, the AFP has 155mm Howitzer. And this video is a live firing test.

  • no ear muff, no handgloves, no pushrod!!!! pagmasdan nyo yan congressman! senetor! general! mga sir nasaan ang budget nila. the soldiers fighting in frontline should be well protected ang ready to fight at all times! pano kung bingi na sila! pano kung mapanis yung bala dahil kinakamay nila! hehehehehe! sir bigyan ko kayo ng binocs pra kita nyo saan bagsak ng bala

  • It's a test firing. only a few rounds. They have ear plugs and the cases do not get that hot. They are not stupid!

  • @trailblazer93 at akala niyo sobrang hirap ng mga Pinoy noh? Well think again!

  • hindi daw macho tingnan pag my gloves.kaartehan lang yun.

  • as long as you touch the rim of the case, your hand will not be scaled. you have to remove the case immediately, by not doing so, the case will expand and will not extract immediately. GO ARTILLERY!!!!!!!

  • we have one at the royal armouries fort nelson and we fire it for displays and the shells do get pretty hot

  • unsafe acts si comrad, dapat next time may gloves na kundi malalagot sila sa ministry of labor na pinas tsk tsk tsk...

  • They say it doesn't get that hot. The Marine pulling the case out even held on to it for a while. It's a test firing trial, only a few rounds.

  • @timawanet kht na... safety first...

  • I WANT ONE!!!

  • kinakamay lang yung basyo without gloves?? that's not right diba?

  • insufficient funds daw e.. lol
