@iLoveMusic0927 There are several blog posts on the 3-Point web site that address hammertoes and other types of crooked toes (e.g. bunions) in more detail. You may find these posts interesting.
@iLoveMusic0927 Toe Loops or other straps can lessen the stress on the toe, but the strap alone is unlikely to “cure” a Hammertoe. If your Hammertoe is not fixed and you have not had it for a long time, stretching exercises and wearing the correct shoes may, along with the strap, reduce the deformity so it stays straight without a strap. Much depends on why you have developed the Hammertoe in the first place and the best person to help determine the cause and treatment would be a Podiatrist.
Hey, I think i have hammer toes... im pretty sure I do... but, if I get the splint... would it KEEP my toe straight afterwards? I have a flexible hammer toes. So it doesn't hurt at all when I wear shoes. It's just very noticeable when I wear my thin canvas shoes, it shows my toe, and how its upward.
@z3r0uzumaki Hi. Actually having the 2nd toe longer than the big toe doesn't necessarily mean you have a hammer toe. Rather that is called a "Morton's toe" according to Wikipedia. If you put "Morton's toe" in the search bar on Wikepedia you'll find the detailed explanation.
You can find good graphics showing the differences between hammer toes, claw toes, etc. if you go to Google images and put in hammer toes.

it s not necessarily the ligament that shortens.
it s rather the fallen front arch that pulls the ligament down. as far as i understand it
