How come Canas is in there? I thought it was the top 8 players, and even the announcer said so but there are 9 in the line up.

first, it's Coria, not Cañas and second it's because one of the other players dropped out.

cause there is always a substitute, in case any of the other 8 players get injured. That year Canias was the reserve. I heard the reserve gets 40 grands just to ("watch") be the reserve.

Very true. That's why I hope Nadal can win some other Slams besides the French, because then it shows how limited he is. Nadal did well to reach the Wimbledon final, but that might be hard to duplicate. And as for Gaudio, I don't know what happened. It seems he no longer has the drive to succeed.

My bad — he didn't totally destroy him. Gstaad 2003, Federer won 6-1 7-6(6). Hamburg 2006, Federer won 6-1, 5-7, 6-4.

federer didnt play hamburg in 2006. robredo won it. federer was pulling out so did nadal and others.
