  • Evolution! I should throw myself in the ocean then, my descendants might become super human sea monsters the size of sperm whales!

  • @Justinian43

    what you mean?

  • @RF720HD fail

  • @RF720HD Your retarded...

  • that's what you call payback!

  • Who thinks it is possible that if Whales and other sea Mammals go extinct, there could be a second coming of Mosasaurs as monitor lizards decide to become more aquatic

  • you are aware there is one in canada... not gonna say where :3

  • @killerslayer543 ogopogo? I live here :)

  • why are these so much fun to watch

  • The Dallasaurus looks Lik A Platapus

  • "The Ocean's top predator came from the land." No shit Sherlock

  • @CobraCoyote "no".... "shit".... "sherrll....ock" umm, are you implying that everyone knows that that little lizard evolved into a plesiosaur? well no you dumb cunt, no one knew that before the watched this video, fucking dumbass, and "no shit sherlock" thats stopped being funny when he died 200 years ago.

  • @jhardyrules13 Anyone who knows ANYTHING about the age of dinosaurs knows this stuff already. And way to have an overly dramatic reply.

  • @CobraCoyote nope, sorry cunt, i had about 5 massive dinosaur books and i don't remember anything that ADVANCED

  • @jhardyrules13 Then I guess your just stupid. :P

Seriously It OBVIOUSLY CAME FROM THE LAND! It was a reptile, not a fish!

Now why don't you go to the kitchen and get yourself a nice big plate of shut up!

  • @CobraCoyote fuck you can tell your a virgin

  • @jhardyrules13 sherlock holmes was a fictional character.

  • @DrunkIrish0 Cool story bro, i care so much!

  • @jhardyrules13 your quite the hostile prick.

  • they used steroids to for 6 million years and there they got bigger

  • I would like to see a Komodo Dragon change into another sea monster.. O.O

  • GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL LMAO

  • the hell this is not pokemon

  • Mosasaurs would have been badass....probably faster and more agile than any shark and pliosaur in the past.

  • Pure idiocy at it's finest. Dinosaurs were created to reflect the majesty, strength, aggressiveness and awesome creativity of their Maker. Like all animals, they had a specific niche to fulfill and were made perfect from the start...not from a little lizard that wandered off into the water and found it's life's purpose! After the Fall, they became hostile:

"...12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt ; for all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth."- Genesis 6:12

  • i love the old discovery channel !

  • What the-- why are they telling us that a Mosasaur is descended from a land animal when we already know this? It's so obvious. I mean, do people say "the sky is blue" with shock? And then get answered by gasps of surprise?

  • They grow up so fast :3

  • lol. it's your statement that's bs.

  • @juju1305 go get a history lesson and proof of evolution then you can say my statement is bs.

  • maybe you're right, evolution is bs after all. Cause you don't sound really evolved yourself...

  • @juju1305 your right i didn't evolve at all because evolution isn't how we came about. nice to know your proud of coming from monkeys and slime

  • lol. get a clue.

It isn't a question of pride. On the contrary, science is the exact opposite of pride. It's a humble process, in which man researches and validates theories through evidence and is ready to reconsider them if some further evidence is found.

And if you can't see the obvious resemblance between man and numerous monkey species, look harder.

  • @juju1305 you still have shown no proof, a lot of things look similar doesn't mean they evolved from each other.

  • it's not my role to teach people who neglect obvious scientific evidence. there's a lot of litterature about that topic. From Darwin to a large number of current paleontologists who carry out great research in a humble and non-dogmatic way.

Maybe I should recommend some books for you? :)

  • @juju1305 you darwin went back on his own theories right? for good reason

  • I expected that one. There is no evidence of that appart from some relatives' testimonies. The religious pressure was way bigger than today back then;

And don't get me wrong, i'm a firm believer. But the book is not to be interpreted in a litteral way. One's own religious faith does not compete with science.

    It's just two different things.

Please, go to any natural history museum near you, watch and learn. It's wonderful :)

  • @juju1305 i have been to museums. think about it like this, if evolution is true what's to live for and were did the assumed 1st cell come from?

  • The meaning of life depends on one's personal vision and philosophy.

As for the first cell, several theories exist. If you look up on wikipedia, there is an article dedicated to it that sums them up quite nicely.

I think it's great that we have learned so much about where we come from. We know so much more than people 50 or 100 or 2000 years ago. But we are still in the process of learning more about where we come from.

  • @juju1305 if you want to learn were we came from crack open the dusty bible

  • why not the coran or the Torah?

The Bible is a religious book not a scientific one.

It was written back in times where man believed earth was flat and had 3 continents.

Do you also agree with that statement?

The messages of the bible are ethical and philosophical, but by no means scientific and should not be considered that way.

Learning is a process by which what you are taught can be demonstrated, it's the exact opposite of faith.

  • oh and coming back to the subject of thi video. What is your explanation for the numerous mosasaur skeletons that have been found?

  • @juju1305 that there are many species gone extinct and been preserved by the flood, and they can be in the same family doesn't mean they evolved from each other

  • so all the species paleontologists have discovered would have lived simultaneously according to your theory?

Take the marine ecosystems for example... Dunkleosteus, mosasaurs, megalodon, basilosaurus, pliosaurs, giant ichtyosaurs. All were apex predators. There is generally only one apex predator in each eco-system that dominates the food chain. So your claim is that prior to the flood, ecosystems worked differently?

  • @juju1305 there can be more then one apex because not all predators dwell in same depth of water. i was saying the flood because that is what made a lot of the fossils we find now, and reason why we find fossils in weird places like on top of mountains and such. and some predators do work together.

  • LOL. So the flood is why T-rex or giant mosasaurs and other species became extinct?

Thanks for the good morning laugh (i'm in Europe btw, I assume you are in USA).

Let's stop here. There's no point. going on. Your answers are the perfect example of how litteral reading and interpretation of the bible is intellectually alienating.

  • @juju1305 the T-rex yes, yes i am in the US, you realize your debating with a HS student. just letting you know backing down makes it appear as you give up and can't find anything more to defend on, hope you eventually see the light before it is to late, thanks for the debate, it was fun ^.^

  • oh, you know, in Germany, we have a wonderful saying: "der clevere gibt nach". It means "the most intelligent gives up". Which is exactly what I did. :)

It was fun for me too. Thank you.

  • @juju1305 actually it means the "clever" not intelligent. i am half German.

  • wirklich? dann können wir unser kleines Gespräch über Evolution auf Deutsch weiter führen oder.

  • @juju1305 not really, i only know a tiny bit of German. but, india charle alpha november tango alpha lima kilo lima india kilo echo tango hotel india sierra =)

  • lol. I'm moving back to english then, I wouldn't want to have you google translate everything ;)

how about that: disproving evolution does not prove creationism. This is a false dichotomy.

(that's not from me but from the brilliant Eugenie Scott, I love that, brilliant mind against obscurantism)

  • @juju1305 not all is google lol. no it doesn't but it makes you more open minded. why do you think God isn't real?

  • Did I say that?

I'm not saying that God isn't real and i'm not even discussing it since "God works in mysterious ways".

Faith is a take it or leave thing. Science is about proof and validating theories or unproving them if new evidence shows up.

In europe, many people are religious but have no problem with evolution as an accepted theory taught in schools.

  • @juju1305 you can't serve two masters. if they teach it in school it should be taught as a theory and they should also teach creationism too. used to be you could get sued as a teacher for teaching evolution now you get sued for teaching creationism.

  • All this has been debated by judges much better than I would.

What is taught in schools is scientific, religion isn't.

There are other theories that the Church held for invalid in the past and that are not questionned anymore : e.g. general relativity (and the prior theories that led to it) or the astronomical science that the Church fought against for decades. Do you also think that our earth is flat, has 3 continents and the sun revolve around it?

  • @jomasa32 "used to be you could get sued as a teacher for teaching evolution"

That was taken to court and overturned. The difference between evolution and creationism is that one is science, the other is religion.

The US constitution enforces the separation of church and state making it illegal to compulsorily promote religion in public schools.

  • @jomasa32 "india charle alpha november tango alpha lima kilo lima india kilo echo tango hotel india sierra =)"

    NO YOU CAN'T!!

  • @jomasa32

"i was saying the flood because that is what made a lot of the fossils we find now, and reason why we find fossils in weird places like on top of mountains and such."

You clearly don't understand how mountain ranges are formed.

  • please use metric system, so that the rest of the world can understand...

  • i want one :3

  • WoW intresting

  • Really nice =D

  • Give me cable or give me death..........

  • darn, i was hoping Discovery can do segments on deep sea creatures

  • see i want the old discovery channel where they show stuff like this all day, if you turn it on now its all commercials and reality shows about fishing

  • agreed

  • i know aye now i turn to the channel and its always a survival show THEY GET BORING! haha

  • i hate that damn fishing show it has nothing to do to with science at all

  • it changed a lot indeed!

  • I agree with you...

    But Deadliest Catch is good.

Other discovery shows, not so much

  • @tinojams actually the science channel shows this stuff sometimes

  • @tinojams

True, commercial crap ruins the world :(

  • if something those not work, find something else. That's what this creature did

  • already posted this O.O
