hey i jailbreaked it succesfully and then after a few seconds it turned off and when it came back on and it has this swirly thing that is frozen and it wont let me do something

I have a 3g jailbroken with blackrain and i want to jailbreak it again ( cause when the batterys dead i have to roboot my ipod on my computer and that takes a while) with redsnow but i dont want to lose the music on my ipod that isnt on my computer ( wich i got from friends), the movies on my dtunes and my apps i got with cydia and installous so how do i make some kind of back up on my computer of my ipod that i can put on again after ive jailbroken it with redsnow?

@blork111 well when u download thm from dtunes or whatev u do put thm on 2 ur computer and put thm all in one folder so tht if u have to reboot again u have teh folder with everything and u can put everything back into ur ipod but theres no way tht ur ipod/3gphone can stay jailbroken after the reboot

@speedymax2121 Speedy please help me, when i had itouch 2ndgen i had blackr1ain on it already but i updated it to os 4.0 and now its restored and no jailbreak, i updated it with itunes, when i run redsnow u say to find your software, what software i dont know what software your wanting, i wnet to my computer tried clicking my itouch and it would use itouch as the software, what software does it want?
