I live in tx and fucking love chicken fried steak. Not too long ago I got the head chef at my work to make me a cfs topped with chili, diced onions, and diced jalapenos. Sounds weird but is definitely delicious

It is a pice of "cubed", or tenderized steak that has been battered and deep-fried, just like you do when you make fried chicken. Hence the "chicken-fried" name.
