  • You're the greatest, Michael, that would be a definite honor. :)

  • Keep the giant awake, Shame, shame on you if you don't !

Funny how it staid in tune ((?))

  • There was an edit at 1:46. There was when I tuned it, and suprisingly the battery in my old tuner still worked! Thanks for the kind words, the Giant is no longer sleepy :)

  • Hey keep on playing... thats the great thing about Guitar you never stop learning. Music is a work out of the grey matter (Keeps that brain in tune).... No matter how good you are or ain't.... Rock on !

Keep on playing Steve. It makes for very entertaining video.

  • LOL I started playing at age 37 and everyone said I was too old then! ;)

  • I like the sound of that, the hibernating beat awakens lol

  • Thanks, Amanda, you're too kind :)

  • nice guitar.

  • Thanks, have an excellent day! :)

  • I don't think the giant would allow himself to be put back! :)

  • I haven't picked up a guitar for the last 16 years. I would really have to go back to basics if I were to start again now.

  • Great to hear from you Tam, I'll have to get reacquainted with some basics as well, it really has been a long time. :)

  • the sleeping giant is sooooo happy now.....

  • That he is, thanks for stopping by Johnny and have a great day! :)

  • So practice makes perfect. But you have woke him up now he wants to play. lol.

  • Thanks, Kim, I don't think I could hold him back now if i tried lol

  • Exemplary stuff , very cool! =>)

  • Thanks very much, it feels really good to awaken my sleeping friend, that's for sure :)

  • Wow, Daddy you rock! I am glad you woke the sleeping giant! ;)

  • Much appreciated Karen, and the giant thanks you as well :)

  • You said you were going to wake the giant.

I think it is awake :)

And the giant is very vocal LOL

  • Thanks, Wendi, he's definitely wide awake lol

  • nice axe Steve are they all duncans or only the rear pick up. never give up.Rock On my friend. c]:-)

  • Thanks Al, that was a slip, the strat that I owned before this one had the original pickups removed and replaced with Seymour Duncans. This particular guitar has the one Duncan and two "Texas special" pickups, that gives it a bit more bite than the traditional strat pickups. It's really a great sounding guitar, now I just have to prove myself "worthy" of it :)

  • Nice lookin/sounding Strat!

    Back in the saddle!! YeeeeHaaaa!!!

    Larry

  • Thanks very much, Larry, have an outstanding day :)

  • I have a few giants who sleep under the stairs down to my bedroom. Let's get together and jam!

  • A bit more practice, and I'll take you up on that ;)

  • Music is what feelings sound like;-)

Happy to see you awaken the sleeping Giant, More, More;) You and Randomwritings, Brian, could make beautiful music together, oops, that came out wrong, you know what I meant, right?? Right??

    I gotta go now((*_*))

    xoxo

  • Thanks so much for the kind words. I know what you meant, I just hope Brian does as well LOL Great comment, thanks for making me smile! :)

  • cool

  • Thanks Isee, much appreciated :)

  • Dude, you are one awesome man who's ready to take over the world!!! Love that guitar!!!! ^___^

  • Thanks for the kind words, Noor, you're the best! :)

  • Great to see you use a Sony - I agree days off are the best! Great to see those inner talents coming out again! Wahoo! Rock-n-Roll!@#$%^

  • Thanks Richard, I'm a great fan of Sony, that camcorder is almost as old as the guitar and it still works great! Have a terrific day friend! :)

  • Hahahaha! Oh, do I ever know the feeling! I'll try some fairly simple riff, and I'll think, "Yes! How cool am I?" So then I'll try something more serious, and it's, "I have absolutely no frackin' idea how to do this."

The brain remembers, but somebody unplugged the extension cord between it and the fingers.

  • LOL thanks moosie, working on getting a better extension cord haha!!

  • When you find a good source, let me know. Mine is *seriously* frayed. LOL

  • your sleeping giant is awesome! *drools* i tried to learn guitar but i just suck at learning instruments.. cant even play piano after 2 years of lessons when i was little lol. i freaking love love love this :)

  • Lyz, you made me day, thanks for the kind words :)

  • You are back. This is the greatest day ever. I hope you get back into recording and who knows get a band together. I am behind ya. I wish I could be in your band. This made my week. Please share more of your jamming. You are a Star and I am a fan. God bless you and your family. I got a wood tone Fender Strat that is wild. I like yours its cool.

  • Thanks Joe, it really does feel great. I'm awful rusty, and it'll take some work, but hope to resume recording soon. Need to buy some new equipment, I sold practically everything, but couldn't part with that guitar. Glad I didn't :)

  • you have such a 70 garage band sound!!!

  • I guess one can't escape the era they came up in, I loved the 70s and the rock bands of that time. Actually I love all kinds of music from all kinds of eras, but my guitar playing probably owes more to the 70s. Thanks for commenting, John, much appreciated :)

  • Steve great job, that was awesome. That rocked. For real. Man if I could play the guitar people would hate me cause I'd stinking play all the time. I'd turn my life into a musical with me as the star. Ahhhhhhhh. Oh well hehe. Great video and keep on rocking. You know it felt oh so good. Jeff

  • It definitely felt great and thanks for the kind words :)

  • oooh its heavey !!

  • I hope so :)

  • Great video, Daddy. Loved the end ;-) The sleeping Giant is a beauty. I said wow when you opened that case.

    Best regards from Bea

  • Thanks Bea, you rock, and all the bestest :)

  • The giant is awake. Rock on Steve.

  • Thanks for stopping by, Ken, appreciated muchly :)

  • The giant is awake and looking for breakfast! Great guitar! Nice electric kit too! Have me round for a jam one time haha

  • Thanks friend, the guitar definitely seems very hungry for action! :)

  • A very fine guitar. You should let it out to play more often. The poor thing gets lonely in that dark case..... I loved the vid! 5 stars of course! Best Wishes! :)

  • Thanks Ivan, I heard a rumor that the original loathly guitar had been kidnapped and replaced with an exact alien replica (a sentient alien guitar!-- Now there's an idea! lol)

  • wow when you plugged the guitar into the amp at 2:24 I thought I saw a little smoke there LOL! Great job man, Give me a guitar and see how much I suck at it. Love the footage you added at the end! 5 STARS Steve!

  • Thanks for the kind words, Earl, love that mental image of the smoke when the guitar was plugged in-- now that's rock 'n' roll! :)

  • fee fee fi fi fo fo fum -- look at daddy now, here he comes!

  • lol thanks Liz! :)

  • Looks like you still got it.

    - Paul Seveng

  • Thanks very much, Paul, rock on :)

  • Steve, It sounded Great In the year 2000..Are you going to start playing again? I sure hope so & please sing some more songs..I really loved the last one you did "In The Yard"...Thanks My Sweet Friend...Hugs Anita

  • You're the best, Anita, thanks so much. I'm taking it a step at a time, and hope to write more songs soon... :)

  • Sounded good Steve. Love the string bending.

  • Much appreciated, Bill, it'll take a bit of practice to get back up to speed, but, mistakes and all, it sure feels good :)

  • How do you keep that asleep? Is it drugs??? LOL!

    Good job!

  • It's a curse actually... everyone says, y'know, one day that guitar'll end up in your closet or under your bed, and you'll forget all about it. Only thing is.... I didn't forget :)

  • Are you starting up a band? Sounding good.

  • No band plans yet, but who knows? :)

  • You still got it! In the words of the great Dan Burke: "Comic book artists (and writers frankly) are rock and roll stars!"

  • Gotta love Dan :)

  • Great video. You did well. 5 stars.

  • Much appreciated, Mike, have a great day :)

  • nice axe just needs some loving to bring it back to life 5* And GROW YOUR HAIR BACK!!!!!!!

  • Thanks Paul, rock on friend :)

  • You need to practice the facial expressions I think!

  • (see my latest video for some guidance)

  • I was watching Joe Walsh's facial expressions, but felt they were a bit extreme lol

  • Woohoo! I've been wating for this one Steve! LOLLL Hey, just a suggestion, maybe...if you grow your hair long again, that could help ya play like you used to? LOLLL Well, I think it would be cool anyway! LOLLL (SMILE)

  • Well, Samson did get his power from his hair LOL

  • AH YES!!!!!!!! I don' t know about you in FL, but over here I could see people holding up lighters. If you zoom in close to So. Cal in the Beverly Hills area. You can see one Paul Stanley smiling :)

  • Thanks George, Paul Stanley is an influence, Ace Frehley is even more so :)

  • Loathly Loathly Loathly... I'm so happy you went musical on your day off. You have awakened the Sleeping Giant :D and now you must feed it every day! Sounds like you're off to a mighty fine start. LOVE the guitar!!

  • Thanks so much for the kind words, Carol, and for the inspiration. When I saw your video "Have You Ever Loved a Woman," I so wanted to pick up that guitar and play along! The Sleeping Giant has indeed awakened, we'll see what happens :)

  • Ah yes.. we all have an off day now and again!! :)

    (That was a deliberate missunderstanding)

  • LOL thanks for stopping by friend :)

  • Ya know? If you have a talent like that, don't let it sleep. I'd give anything to be able to play an instrument. I used to play clarinet as a kid, but, unfortunately, my mom had to pawn it for money to feed us after my dad left. You play wonderful!

  • I used to play clarinet as well, I used to jam along with '70s rock albums, playing lead on the clarinet! lol it was many years later when I began to play guitar, and just about everyone said I was too old. But I dedicated myself to the instrument and did my best, and ended up recording at least a hundred songs or so with my old garage band. I'm thinking of writing songs and recording again. We'll see what happens. By the way, there still is a clarinet sitting in a corner here somewhere :)

  • great guitar

    great man

    a little mistake at 4'36...but don't stop):---)

    bravo

tu joues reelement bien de la guitare.

  • Thanks, very much appreciated :)
