i did mine for 125 today and passed, i only turned 17 2 days ago as well so its quick and good but i was shite at riding and not good on the road, i really don't feel confident that i wont stall at every traffic light when i get my own bike :P oh well now i passed i can get lots of practice and master riding ;)

doing my cbt tuesday in swansea cant wait ive been riding years without a licence and i thought i might as well get legal now been riding since i was 17 on the road and now 27 and rode bigger bike so being stuck on a 125 for a while till i do my full test is going to suck! and then being stuck on the 33bhp for 2 years isnt going to be fun but what the law dont know wont hurt them!

@buzzender Easy. And if you're nervous and fail (you won't) then you just do it again. CBT is the easiest bit. Good luck!

@buzzender BEST thing to do is just stop thinking like that! Consciously tell yourself - I'll pass it. I'll pass it. I'll pass it. (and every now and then, say "...and if I fail, so what??!!!") I'll pass it. It's just a wee bit of training - it's not a test, really.

i dont know, I passed my test back in 1771.... er 1971, I do believe though if you can demonstrate that you can control the bike, and have a good understanding of how to ride on the road, you should be ok.

the u-turn is probably one of the most awkward and pointless parts of the test so fair play to your wife haha, our cbt guy told us never use the u turn on the road if you want to turn your bike around because of how pointless it is haha

a u-turn teaches you to control a bike at slow speeds which is very important to master, so i think its a good idea and would not recommend people to use the training body u did if they are saying that.

but it takes the piss to do and your more likely to be knocked off your bike doing a u turn like they have to teach you, i mean if you have a bike there easy to monover so why nt just use the sloped bit of the curb leading onto a drive to back up onto then pull off in the right direction? -- This is in reality, i agree with the slow control completely but only when its needed

I u turn is safe to do if you check the road is clear before you do it as for using somones drive ie the slope of a curb and backing it up firstly this means u will have to you will be backing upwards which a small slip could cause u to come off and also if it is not your drive it is classed as obstructing dont give the plod more reasons to pick on bikers.
