that is so sad if you get 1 get from people that no wat their doing. i got mine from petsmart he is doing fine though. my friend got one from petsmart and it died a month later.
mine died from sand impaction and metabolic bone disease, coz the petshop gave us the wrong infomation on his lighting and didnt tell us how to look after him properly. Its their fault that my beardy died. His name was Fredo and he was the best little lizard.
@Ellenluvsya you need to get uv light i take mine to the vet and she tells me he is doing great with the uv she also gives me a bag a crickets for him
he weebleswobble. If you want to get a bearded dragon all you need is, atleast a 40 gallon cage for an adult,food and water dish,sand or fake grass pad,heat lamp, a a log or somthing for them. Also, yes at night they sleep with the light on. The light does not affect them they will fall asleep very easliy. Let me know if you have any questions!
while some keep the light on, it is better to allow them photo periods like in nature, with night, it is fine for temps to drop at night, as in australia the deserts get colder.

dont get a 40 gallon i had to get a bigger cage cause mine got 2 big for a 40 gllon. get a 75 gllon cause mine likes to run around:D

I really want to get a Bearded Dragon, but I'm worried that I'll make a mistake in setting up its tank, and I don't want to harm it by accident.
How big is your tank, and how do you keep the temperature right? Do you turn the heat lamps off at night time?
