you are all wrong... this didnt start off as a manga... it started as an Eroge (Hentai game) it had several storylines... around 10-20.... the mange just picked one... and the anime made their own mix of 3-4 storylines. out of those 20ish endings around 15 of them ends in murder suicide or other chocking stuff.
so that this does not look like the manga is not a surprise because this is just one of many stories. you should consider it the actual story though. just to make sense of it all

2. I saw all episodes and I know the end.Makoto was just sorry for Kotonoha. He loved both of them, not only Sekai or Kotonoha. In the first time he liked Kotonoha, but after he fall in love with Sekai and in the end I really think that he didn't care about anyone, just about how to fuck all the girls.
