Rick Scott is a fraud and his hospitals were actually rated among the worst. Rick scott defruded Medicare and absconded with the benefits of senior citizens, and thus, he had to pay a $1.7 BILLION fine, the second largest health care related in American history.
You get all of your info from Alex Sink commercials? drop the TV ads and do some research. Rick Scott was NEVER questioned or investigated for medicare fraud. Columbia /HCA was NEVER fined 1.7 Billion -> 1.7 billion was the settlement amount in multiple lawsuits by a CEO of columbia almost 3 yrs after rick scott had left the company.
You negelct to talk about how the hospitals at fault were found at fault before their acquisition to Columbia/HCA
@dajw02 Scott got a golden parachute after they ired him after the Mediciare fruad was discovered. They let the wheels spin so they only PAID the fine after Scott was gone, but he was CEO when the Medicare fraud TOOK PLACE and he was responsible for initiating and OKing it..
@murphyj87 It was not a golden parachute- the board voting him out and requesting his resignatin was a violation of his contract - an agreeable reparation had to be paid.
@murphyj87 all you have to do is google it and read up from multiple resources. I personally hate the tea party idiots- I don't watch fox - I do my research before making decisions. Editorials & commercials are not viable sources.
You left out the part about Columbia being fined 1.7 billion after being found guilty of fraud by over-billing Medicare and Medicaid while being run by Scott.
1st - Columbia was never found guilty in a court- they settled with the government and multiple lawsuits.
2nd- The Hospitals at fault were found at fault before their acquisition to Columbia.
3rd - they were not at fault for over billing they were at fault for in correct following of procedure of paperwork flow to the government - a charge of $10,000 fine per incident. thousands of hospitals were found at fault of the same thing that same year.
Scott is a scumbag. Ask him why he put the stocks in his wifes name. Because there is a conflict of interest.

@dajw02 They settled because if they let it go to court, the fine would have been much higher.
