Alison- kudos to you for not crying during that last scene, because I lost it! However it was a joyous and cleansing weep paired with laughter...i was so happy with it, and then to have the bamboo thicket scene echoing the start of the series was just perfect :)

@tvandmoviefanatic Aaron there is an ilusion like Jack's son, we know Aaron lives until at least age 3, not newborn. But yeah, the implication is after Jack died the rest had fulll lives (possibly even 100s of years for Hurley & Ben) and when they all finally died they entered the Sideways as the age from the island.

My fav part is when Jack says "I died too" I started crying so bad in that moment and couldn't stop. After like 15 minutes after the finale I was still crying and my bff trying to calm me down xD (I still cry when I watch the end) u.u

Wow wished I'd been there, it looked like an epic way to watch the finale. I think my favourite moment had to be Locke forgiving Ben. That was probably the moment that made me cry the most, that after all Ben had done to him Locke could still find it in his heart to forgive him. I kinda feel that was the only reason Ben was waiting there at the church because one day he will need to move on once Rousseau and Alex are ready and it couldn't have happened if he hadn't been forgiven. Beautiful.
Man am I glad I got to watch the finale on my own, I would have gotten so pissed off at all the dumb ass people crying over the nothing about the relationships. The only one that was even remotely a surprise was Sayid and Shanon. but none of it rated a tear. Also I would love to know what these fools were talking about that they learned about.

My favourite moment of the end has to be the last scene, after watching it a few times that's me definite choice. I like how Michael Giacchino worked 3 or 4 songs into the one sort of medley. Was just a really beautiful end to the show.

I was completely mad at the ending. (at first) because I have literally been watching lost since I was in 6th grade and I am a senior now (well now freshman in college technically,...moving on) But to find out after trying to figure out what the heck was going on, on the island, after all those years really didn't matter. Cause apparently everyone dies anyway. But when I watched it the second time, I liked it a wee bit better, But just a wee.
Funny how this show had "The Others" and the end story was the characters being in a sort of limbo / purgatory place before moving on after death. Just like the movie called, "The Others" LOL. Maybe the writers are Nicole Kidman fans.
Anyways i liked the finale and im glad they didnt explain the island. If they did, most people would have the wrong theory and then whine more than now. This way no one is wrong.... or right. :)

My theory is that Lapidus's plane with Claire, Kate, etc arrive safely, Hurley and Ben worked togther for an unknown time and returned Desmond to his life with Penny and his son, Jack died and everyone else died but after linving their lifes, they just met again in the church where there's no time, and everything that happened in the island was real.
You really thought the ending was that good? I mean, my first impresion was that it didn't make sense, because there were so many things that weren't explained and I thought that saying thay were all dead was just de easyest way of finishing the show.
I actually think it's a good ending. Not perfect, but I liked it...well, I LIKE it, because at first I wanted to throw my TV through the window. I was like "WTF?!". Anyway, great show. I'll miss them :(

The ending was terribly sad but very satisfying in my eyes, I was 100% satisfied with the way it ended. Even though alot of the show's major mysteries were never answered, well, that's just LOST for you, it wouldn't be LOST without the mysteries that have no resolution, just theories which in my mind is even better than what the actual answers could've been.
@electric947 I wish it were true, but his name wasn't Samuel. That was only for production, casting, and scripting purposes. The creators said he had no name. But wouldn't matter if he did... Tyler Durden had a name and didn't exist either. :)
I thought it would have been a very good ending EXCEPT that the show didn't live up to it's own expectations in my eyes. One fan wrote a letter that addresses the problems so many of us had about the ending. I will try to put the link on here soon, but the real issue is that this story could have been told in One season considering how it ended. That makes 5 whole seasons entirely irrelevant to the ENTIRE plot of the show. I will miss the show greatly, but a horrible ending!!!

There never was a "smoke monster". There never was a "man in black". There never was a "Zack". The smoke monster was Jacob's dark side. The island manifested his dark half. That's why the monster never had a name. The island can only have one caretaker, and Jacob was it. If Hurley had been messed up, he would have had a "Tyler Durden" to deal with, too. Does it make sense now? :)

i cryed harder when sayid aand shannan reunited not so much when sun and jin saw their baby. but it all got worse as it moved along. by the end of the show my eyes hurt.
I'm so sad it is over. At least the end was beautiful and made me cry pretty much the entire time. I don't really get it though, I'm still ubber confused, but whatever, answers or no its the best show that has ever been on television! Thanks for the awesome vids through it all!
Just read that the Series DVD will be released August 24th with an additional 15-20 minutes of extra footage. This makes sense because on abc.com, there are photos from the last episode that were not televised such as Christian addressing the group in the church. I also read that there will be material about Hurley and Ben on the island. I think we'll need to watch the season finale again with another review, this time from home. ????
alright m8, i was a little dissapointed at it, them all dying to me sorta made me think season 1,2,3,4,5,6 were all pointless and all that with them trying to stop flocke getting off the island seemed irrelevent when he died so easily after ALL that in this season !!!! :/

@YOUAREDEADTOME The island stuff was all real, after Jack died everyoe else lived full lives, but when they died there sprits entered the Sideways to "move on" together.
Great editing job on this video, as usual. Loved the finale so much. It was perfect and only gets better and more beautiful the more I think about it. Don't have a favourite moment, there were far too many. However, each of the 'awakenings' were so intensely emotional. Darlton Lindlecuse deserve every award there is. @funnyapples1 My theory is the light they were engulfed in at the end IS the light on the island. The island is the Earthly location of "heaven", where souls go when they die.
The light has strange effects on the laws of physics, causing the electromagnetism and time travel. The island needed to be protected because if the light went out, everyone they know and love would "cease to be" (in the afterlife) and there would be no heaven.

My favourite moment of the end has to be the last scene, after watching it a few times that's me definite choice. I like how Michael Giacchino worked 3 or 4 songs into the one sort of medley. Was just a really beautiful end to the show.

I was completely mad at the ending. (at first) because I have literally been watching lost since I was in 6th grade and I am a senior now (well now freshman in college technically,...moving on) But to find out after trying to figure out what the heck was going on, on the island, after all those years really didn't matter. Cause apparently everyone dies anyway. But when I watched it the second time, I liked it a wee bit better, But just a wee.

Funny how this show had "The Others" and the end story was the characters being in a sort of limbo / purgatory place before moving on after death. Just like the movie called, "The Others" LOL. Maybe the writers are Nicole Kidman fans.
Anyways i liked the finale and im glad they didnt explain the island. If they did, most people would have the wrong theory and then whine more than now. This way no one is wrong.... or right. :)

I really envy you for taking that trip, if I had money I would kill to do something like that. It's nice to see people who make me realize I'm not the only one who cares that much about it. My theory is that Lapidus's plane with Claire, Kate, etc arrive safely, Hurley and Ben worked togther for an unknown time and returned Desmond to his life with Penny and his son, Jack died and everyone else died but after linving their lifes, they just met again in the church where there's no time, and everything that happened in the island was real.

I actually think it's a good ending. Not perfect, but I liked it...well, I LIKE it, because at first I wanted to throw my TV through the window. I was like "WTF?!". Anyway, great show. I'll miss them :(

The ending was terribly sad but very satisfying in my eyes, I was 100% satisfied with the way it ended. Even though alot of the show's major mysteries were never answered, well, that's just LOST for you, it wouldn't be LOST without the mysteries that have no resolution, just theories which in my mind is even better than what the actual answers could've been.

@electric947 I wish it were true, but his name wasn't Samuel. That was only for production, casting, and scripting purposes. The creators said he had no name. But wouldn't matter if he did... Tyler Durden had a name and didn't exist either. :)

I thought it would have been a very good ending EXCEPT that the show didn't live up to it's own expectations in my eyes. One fan wrote a letter that addresses the problems so many of us had about the ending. I will try to put the link on here soon, but the real issue is that this story could have been told in One season considering how it ended. That makes 5 whole seasons entirely irrelevant to the ENTIRE plot of the show. I will miss the show greatly, but a horrible ending!!!

There never was a "smoke monster". There never was a "man in black". There never was a "Zack". The smoke monster was Jacob's dark side. The island manifested his dark half. That's why the monster never had a name. The island can only have one caretaker, and Jacob was it. If Hurley had been messed up, he would have had a "Tyler Durden" to deal with, too. Does it make sense now? :)

I'm so sad it is over. At least the end was beautiful and made me cry pretty much the entire time. I don't really get it though, I'm still ubber confused, but whatever, answers or no its the best show that has ever been on television! Thanks for the awesome vids through it all!

Just read that the Series DVD will be released August 24th with an additional 15-20 minutes of extra footage. This makes sense because on abc.com, there are photos from the last episode that were not televised such as Christian addressing the group in the church. I also read that there will be material about Hurley and Ben on the island. I think we'll need to watch the season finale again with another review, this time from home. ????

Great editing job on this video, as usual. Loved the finale so much. It was perfect and only gets better and more beautiful the more I think about it. Don't have a favourite moment, there were far too many. However, each of the 'awakenings' were so intensely emotional. Darlton Lindlecuse deserve every award there is. Gonna miss this show like crazy.

you should post your analysis of the entire show. i need help digesting some information. most of the questions that were raised in this season were answered. but i still don't get stuff like time travel or what the whole point of the island was!

@funnyapples1 My theory is the light they were engulfed in at the end IS the light on the island. The island is the Earthly location of "heaven", where souls go when they die.
The light has strange effects on the laws of physics, causing the electromagnetism and time travel. The island needed to be protected because if the light went out, everyone they know and love would "cease to be" (in the afterlife) and there would be no heaven.
