Wow... Amazing! Thank you, Harley, for shedding light on the economic facts!
Btw, I do aspire to go to Woodstock fruit fest this year! I don't know how I will pull off getting to New York from California, or even purchasing a ticket for the fest, but I have faith and WILLPOWER!!!!
Well I live in Australia and found organic bananas for $2kg the other day...it may take a little extra effort to find the good deals but its definitely possible!
Gotta disagree (dare I?) with fruit availability in Australia. I live in Queensland and have no trouble getting fruit at great prices at the Farmers' Markets every weekend. My local Flannery's Organic Supermarket has good prices on organics. I have also lived in California for two years and understand about availability of great food in the US. The population and demand means you can get things easily. If you want to do raw vegan in Australia, you still can!
I live in Finland, and here buy organic raw fruits and vegetables is expensive, and hard, I pay more than three and half us dollars for two pounds of bananas, so go your closest store and get them all.... you have the chance guys.... if I can do, you can do it too!!!
I am from NEPA also near Scranton. $100 a week for food would have me living on the streets. On a good week I spend $30 thats for me and my little dog. Yes being on a vegan diet does help cut costs. I look at processed food and meat prices and I can see where someone would get a higher food bill.
Megan be careful with those grapefriuts.... Good day to Harley. Lucky to be living in america . Land of cheap fruit and home of the brave . Peace , Bob
Wow...good for him. Spending the majority of his money on fruit. He and Freelea should move to the U.S. :) They seem like they are really enjoying it here.
so i would say that the cost of living must be higher in australia but then i guess that the income earned matches it and they make more per hour than we do here in america
I like to see DR try to debunk people excuses in eastern europe ha ha ha. Not only is there no organic, it's hard to even find edible conventional fruit.
Great video Megan!Durianrider and freelee could move to America or even Thailand.Had no idea Australia was poor when it came to fruit always had this vision it being cheaper fresher etc.guess I was wrong.
@wjameswright thats why I think Dr Goldhammer and others say raw food diets can be somewhat elitist... especially 100% strict raw vegan where you cut out cheap and filling staples like rice, (sweet) potato, beans, ancient grains , steamed veggies...
They trade debt for higher prices huummm.

$100 dollars a week wow. Many families cant even afford to pay that....if you are single with a good salary then that would be ok
