Can't believe you're getting rated down for being truthful, there's no information, this is pretty boring and undetailed even for video game porn standards. It doesn't even excel at being Mac's Weapons of Destruction for Red Faction 3 nor does it give you strategy. It's uninspired game porn.

Pft I can tell you right off the bat what each one does and good for. :P

Assault rifle: Good at short and long range, somewhat innaccurate for mid range, no idea why, usually lasts about 40 bullets per salvo. Damage: Average.

Shotgun: Self explanatory, close and personal, no good mid-long. Damage: Can drain a shield AND half health from one hit from about 4-5 feet away. Close is insta kill. 6 shells per salvo.

@flairphantem Yes it is, although I think most people don't like it because it's impossible to camp. You can't camp bases or spawns, its just impossible. Which is why all Halo and Cod fanboys hate it. Because they can't get a kill without staying in one spot throughout an entire game.

That's not been my experience of the PS3 - better graphics on it's exclusives, but the multi-platforms have been dogshit.

Hopefully they'll start making some better games for it, as it's really underused right now.

I've been playing S8 for a few days now. I like it. It takes some of the best qualities from some of the best games and mixes and improves upon them in a good way. Its not a very original game, but its fun. It uses the tried and true conquest mode of game play, with a shield and health system similar to the first Halo. It also features a more in depth perk system than COD4, and an improved version of BF: 2142's drop pod spawning system. The downers are average graphics and some slowdown.

thats because xbox has been there like for 5 years and ps3 just come out (okay about year after 360). but they are making already some kewl ps3 exclusives like god of war 3, ratchet & clank crack in time, quantum, agent and other stuff and like they said they are using about only 30% of ps3's full capacity, so eventually im pretty sure ps3 will rock xbox 360 but of course then there will come xbox 720 or something like that and after that there comes ps4 and so on :D

To me, this game is unique from the way its presented, but if I had to assimilate to any other games, I'd say it's a mix of Battlefield and an upgraded version of Blackiste. I don't really see halo in it, apart that its a sci-fi shooter, halo is a game meant for short fast paced engagements, this is more tactical planning and long firefights. Imo ^^

Guys play the game and then talk. First of all this game is nothing like Halo 3. 2nd the missile launcher was designed to take out tanks/robots, not infantry units. So it will do the same amount of damage or less that a pistol does on a single unit and finally it doesn't take for ever to kill a person, you can just lock on them and press click and in 5 sec they will be gone. Btw just an advice use the Machine Gun instead of the Assault Rifle, because the Machine Gun goes of HP and not Shield.

The missile is used to burn through armor and machinery. The players' suits use plasma shield things, which apparently can't be "burned through."
