  • Make videos again..... Vinsamlegast? :)

  • cool brown sweater!

  • maður segir ekki gjörðu svo vel og réttu mér.... maður segir "geturur rétt mér....

  • Ég er að læra Íslensku og ég er frá Arizona líka! Lítill heimur, já? Þú talar mjög gott. :)

  • verð að viðurkenna að þú ert býsna fyndinn.... þú ert ekki frá íslandi, er það???

i have to admit that your are pretty funny..... your not from iceland, are you???

  • clearly seems there is nothing to do up there...either you place a video like this on internet, or you just commit suicide

  • jahénna

  • hahahahhahahha þvílík snild

  • hahahaha These Iceland videos are hilarious, and strange hahaha You have Great Icelandic skills, Where did you learn I wonder. English is super more silly!!! I tell thee!

I always did wonder about please, "Do it!" hahaha thats how I always thought of it, but being said more whiney like teehee

  • Maður segir ekki "þetta er hvernig" heldur "svona". Ekki: "Þetta er hvernig maður heilsar" heldur: "Svona heilsar maður".

  • how long have you been speaking the islensk? sounds like a long time.

  • Þetta er bara nokkuð fyndið og heilmikið satt ;)

e.s. hafið þið notað [audio preview] þegar þið gerið athugasemd á íslensku? Það er ofboðslega fyndið xD

  • I love it that's awesome

  • Hahah fyndið en hvaða Íslendingur sem er gæti útskýrt fyrir þér að þú ert aðeins að misskjila t.d. getur maður alveg beðið um eitthvað án þess að nota gjörðu svo vel og í raun er það mjög sjaldan notað þegar maður er að biðja um eitthvað. En fyndið engu að síður, gangi þér vel að læra íslenskuna áfram.

  • You're Hilarious !

I'm french and I'd like to learn icelandic but I can't find any courses in Paris so I'm listening to videos like yours, and learning grammar. keep on making videos !

  • Hæ!

    Hard work!

Our old icelandic teacher from university (Kiel) lives in Paris now :)

That means there is ONE icelandic in paris right now :)

Maybe you find him, becaus he wanted to teach there again..

    Bless, bless

  • but you can also say it asking for something, but it is "Viltu gjöra svo vel..." which straightly translated means "would you do so well"... like would you do so well to pass me the butter... so, the "viltu" and "svo vel" makes it polite, and gerðu and gjöra.. gjöra is old fashioned, but its used sometimes in this.. maybe some people say "gera" ...

the gerðu is used when the host tells 1 person its now time to start eating.. as he or she has been waiting politely.

  • and I wanna say, Gjörðu svo vel, it can be something you say when dinner is ready and the host says, gjörið þið svo vel, (which is in plural, but its gjörðu svo vel if there's just 1 person ofcourse) it means that people are now allowed to start eating..

  • oooh youve already replied to this lol.. i commented to quickly... but i'm commenting more because it seems you want to learn Icelandic, so I will correct again, :) --hann er svolítið brjálaður, brjáluð is for a female... and in the beginning, "ég fór rangt með".. there's something missing to that sentence, its like, I went/did wrong with....what? you can also say ég gerði villu = I made an error,, or, þetta var vitlaust hjá mér, :)

  • thank you! i would like to encourage everyone, should they find something incorrect about my icelandic, to please tell me! it is important to myself and for others to improve their icelandic. thank you nicegirlfromiceland!

  • so glad you like my corrections! :) so I shall continue! I think your thoughts about icelandic are so interesting and I like thinking about this stuff too.. sometimes straightly stranslating icelandic to english is hilarious! like, a swear word in english, is used about cute things, like babies and cute animals in iceland!

  • lol.. i was reading my comment and saw "stranslating"... typing error.. :P

  • Asshole= rassgat, "hún er algjört rassgat" =literally "shes a total asshole" lol.. but here it is kinda like a slang for very cute.. i wonder who things an asshole is really cute, but this is how some people actually talk lol..

  • omg, i type way too fast! things was supposed to be thinks.. lol...by the way, I showed my mom your videos, she also likes playing with words thinking about this stuff.. we were bouth ROFLing!! Please continue to make those great videos!

  • Well done! Ég elsker islensku, er fra´Brasiliu en byr i Estlandi. Icelandic is the most beautiful Germanic language!

  • I love this guy! :P
